R1T or R1S? that will also be a big determining factor.

Well I put the reservation in for a R1S. I'm not sure if there is any advantage to buying in Seattle (so long as I could by it without paying Sales Tax there since I'd have to pay PST/GST here. I have a USA address I could use for that purpose.

Looking at their most recent financial statements, there was a backlog of ~114k orders and they are building ~10k per quarter. That is a very uninspiring 11 quarter wait since I'm last on the list. I'm guessing the new second shift will increase capacity but there are many metrics I can find online to indicate what they are aspiring to ramp production up to and by when. If you found something out, please let me know what and where you found it.

And the Quarter over Quarter production increase between Q3 and Q4 was 36%. A reasonable estimate is that they can get through at least 1/2 of that backlog in 2023. Remember they are still in the ramp-up phase, so you can't extrapolate based solely on Q4. This backlog will absolutely NOT take 11 quarters to fulfill. More like 6-7 is my guess. Regardless, a new order placed right now is still looking at a 2 year wait, but getting better every day.

Update. I have now been migrated to Canadian pricing. Huge difference in price for pre march reservation holders 130,00 vs. 106,00 as currently configured with forest edge/green and wall charger.

If I actually end up with one I'll be happy.

Talking to an acquaintance who kept their very early R1S preorder(but dropped their R1T when their F150 lightning came in) and he’s heard nothing new other than the same ”we‘re working on a plan for a plan to plan when we’ll have a plan for service in your area” nonsense as before.

The joys of so many social media groups and forums haha! Will join the Canada Group for now, but might be nice to get a bit more regional now that people are getting their R1's, either BC specific or even South Coast?

So, apparently that confirmation from my guide was pre-mature. He never actually got confirmation that my R1T was at the service center at all and gave me pre-mature information. I railed into him about setting expectations without due diligence.

Not happy right now since I have no vehicle at all and I need to drive down to Bellingham for work next week...

And my floor mats / cargo bars are MIA as well.

Got my confirmation email! If I track your progress right, it looks like you were only a day after confirming confirmation you got your 8 steps, got your charger a week later, and expecting delivery 3-4 weeks after receiving the charger? Seems odd they send the charger before payment, but hey - I guess both sides of the transaction are keen

I confirmed my config and had the guide assigned a few days ago, so far nothing else has changed. Delivery window is still July - Sept.

my friend got a call offering him a pre-built truck instead of waiting until his July delivery window. He said the offer was for 2018/19 preorder holders. It wasn’t an exact match to his build, just didn’t have the PPF.

anyone Else get a call? I’m tempted to call them myself and ask if I can get my second truck early!
