My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
I don’t think this is possible, outside of shoving a black trash bag over my charger, but anyone know of a mechanism to disable, mute, or otherwise mellow the status lights on the Wall Charger?

It’s immensely bright. My garage door has windows. I am pulsing my entire neighborhood with neon at night.

You can take off the front cover and unplug the LED light. Personally I wish they would just release some customization for it within the app to dim it etc.

Dark-Sky initiatives thank you! My neighbors are pretty far away but now I'm thinking about how to tame the light. I haven't stood outside at night to see what this looks like yet.

I’m a huge supporter of Dark Skies, too! It was a big part of the reason I wanted this Hulk-styled Pulsating monster shut off.

I stood outside last night and watched it outside of my garage. It was -bananas- bright.

They dimmed it in an update. I don't have one of them so can't really offer suggestions about it other than I like taping over those kinds of lights with black gaffer tape.

Good to know, thx. Was that in the 03.01.xx update, or previous? Mine is on 03.00.30 - still bright.

I used black out tape from Amazon. Works pretty well, but not perfect.

I used black electrical tape. Works great and you can't even tell it's on there unless you look closely.

That’s a great idea and I can’t believe I didn’t think of it earlier. Thank you!

It drove me crazy at first as well, so I used black electrical tape. It's been on for a year and a half now and works great.

I just installed the Rivian Wall Charger over the weekend. The seller included it when I bought my used R1S last month (so now I'm selling a Grizzl-E Duo if anyone is interested).

The lights on the Rivian unit and obnoxiously bright! Wow. Completely ruins the ambiance in my yard with my landscape lighting. Just ordered the TWraps tint strips last night. This is a bit ridiculous. I can't believe there's no way to turn off or dim the lights.

Make sure the charger firmware is updated to the latest release. There was an update last year that reduced the brightness.

I also used electrical tape.
Left a small opening at front corners so I can still tell that it's working. It's lasted the 6 months, 3 seasons in PDX just fine.
