Agreed but for 50-60k it's going to be a hit just like the Telluride.Very cool looking... but materials look cheap and impractical. In that sense the opposite of the R1S
Of all the vehicles we panic reserved during the 3/1 debacle, the canoo is the only reservation we kept. That thing looks so cool. Also doubtful it will be made but if it is I am definitely getting one.Not sure if I missed any, but I excluded certain cars (ie Canoo) that I'm less confident will actually deliver.
?Tell me more about his digital tiger face you speak of. ?
This was the *exact* same calculus I was performing the last few days. The only thing I can figure is that 3-row SUVs are already expensive. Maybe manufacturers are afraid of pushing out vehicles too expensive?Confirmed 2024 7 seater choices:
R1S - cheapest large (300 mile) pack R1S being 80k+
VW Buzz - Rumors say ~65k for a minivan
Kia EV9 - ?
Hyundai Ioniq 7 - ?
Volvo's successor to XC90 - ?
Model X - 115k+
The Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 7 are both going to kill if they can come in around 60-65k. I'm just super confused why other major manufacturers haven't been more aggressively courting this segment. Full size SUVs are extremely popular in the US. I wouldn't be surprised if it is 5+ years before we see the segment fill out, and the laggards might miss the boat.

Agreed lots of Kia dealers are POS for banking on the success of these latest vehicles. I bought a fully loaded Telluride at MSRP and will probably get an EV9 without markup as well. All it takes is finding the right dealer willing to make the deal happen for you and I'll be a repeat customer.Looks promising, I think the Telluride has been a good seller since inception, good reviews.
Too bad that they still have a dealer network to deal with, (dealer markups)

Imagine that this may potentially cost more than the R1S, what a joke, hahaha
For the first time in Kia models, over-the-air software update (OTA) for controllers and Feature on Demand (FoD) services that allow customers to selectively purchase software functions will also be applied to implement electric vehicles as smart devices.
Hasn't Rivian hinted at the ability to charge at 800v in the future?A R1-ish SUV with 800v Tech. Yup Also take my money lol. R1 fame maybe short lived if they can deliver.
Officially no.Hasn't Rivian hinted at the ability to charge at 800v in the future?
