Halloween Mode NOT WORKING?

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
I hate that my first ever post in here is about a problem, but I am not seeing anyone else on the internet having a Halloween 2025 issue. I updated my app and ‘24 Gen 1 RIS to the latest software. Halloween mode shows up in the app, but it does nothing once enabled. Last year, I had no issues with the Halloween mode. This year, it’s nothing. The only thing that seems to work is the frog croak when locking, whether or not Halloween is enabled. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the iPhone app, and done a soft reset on the car. Still won’t work. On or off WiFi doesn’t matter. And yes I’ve been completely parked each time.
Same problem, Gen 2.

Do a hard vehicle reset. Outer left steering wheel button + hazard lights button. After this, mine is working fine.

Gen 1 R1T no issues after downloading this evening other than the grandkids watching it for about 30 minutes

Same as last two. Updated ‘25 S and App. Both version numbers right. Clicking into changes nothing. Soft reset changes nothing. Hard reset after a drive changes nothing. Wife sad.

I’ll try a hard reset this weekend. I hate doing those but it’s the last option I’ve got at this point! Thanks, all. Hopefully for those of us having issues, we’ll get them corrected one way or another before the season is up.

BTW, there is no reason to be concerned over doing a hard reset. It's basically equivalent to restarting your computer or phone. You just need to be in a spot where you can wait a couple of minutes for the truck to reboot.

same issue with mine. Gen2 R1T Tri. This is my 3rd gen 2 Rivian. Had 2 R1S - first had a bad motor, second rode really strange and made me carsick, moved to R1T and now the software updates don’t work. Sheesh.

I’m a shareholder and a Rivian super fan, but man.. for a $100k + truck, between software updates not working and the rattly doors (sounds worse than my old RAV4), it’s really hard to keep the faith sometimes.

I put "Halloween Mode" on this morning when I went to the gym (predawn). Turned off the interior lights and screens; just left the exterior stuff active.

Ooo... spooky.

Did a light workout; less than an hour... the "ghosts" ate up 3% of my battery when normally it's 1% when parked there.

I performed an exorcism and shut it all down. Might consider parking the R1T in the driveway Halloween night and firing it up. Of course, that means we actually GET "Trick-or-treater"s. Been about a decade... I just can't put my finger on it...

While I'm tempted to complain about consistently getting the OTA updates well after they initially roll out - it was 10/29 for the Holloween update last year for example - there is a benefit to being among the last: I rarely have the issues that those who get the updates earlier often report.

I have a Gen 2. Downloaded both the app and vehicle updates and installed last night. Didn’t work after the install, but then did a hard reset and now it works fine.

Judging by some of the posts here, it seems some Gen1 owners are having similar problems.

I haven't received my update yet.
Also haven't received my update...does anyone know when the full roll out will be complete?
