I just placed an order for the Infinity Shield Garage door sensor. It offers a full height door sensor to detect obstructions and replaces the low mounted beam used on most openers. I need to park pretty close to my door to maximize space in front of my vehicles and using backup camera can be a pain. I REALLY wish I had this years ago as I closed my garage door on the open hatch of my Land Rover while I was distracted on a conference call. GRRR. Right now, it's 20% off at Amazon for Black Friday week (confirmed with the seller). I'll update my experience once I receive and install the unit.

That is pretty cool! If I owned a house I would definitely buy one.

I just installed mine yesterday and love it. However, I wish the "alarm" was louder. This item should be on all garage doors.

Installed today, went pretty smoothly. I can now easily get pretty close to my garage door.

Sorry to revive an old thread but can we get updates from owners?

I'm still very happy with my installation ... no issues whatsoever. Seems like it's no longer available on Amazon, but is directly via their website: https://infinity-shield.com

I installed 2 of these about 6 months ago. Fantastic device that works flawlessly. As others have said, this should be standard on every garage door.
