Nothing to add here except BRILLIANT

extremely helpful as I had been hunting for details and was beginning to wonder if there was some defect with Rivian owners as this is bleeding edge fun... kudos

So would I be able to tap into a fuse to wire in my 50W Midland GMRS radio, or best to go straight to the battery?
There are 5 High Current and 4 high current fuses on the batteries if one of those is not being used that would be an excellent place to connect for your radio and be sure to find a ground stud near the batteries to ground it. I don't understand why Rivian is keeping the fuse list a secret every manufacturer either puts it on the cover or in the Owners Manual. I hope this helps.

Great thread, thanks for digging all this info up and sharing. Wired up a dashcam to the fusebox (non-always on so as to not drain the battery) in my current car and would like to do the same when I get my R1.

Anyone Know where to find 12v "ignition on" power under the hood? I am adding some ditch lights and have wired up a switch and relay to the 12V battery under the air inlet but my KC lights have an amber backlight that I would like to come on at the times a conventional ICE would be ignition on. I prefer not to go though the firewall to bring power back out to the frunk from the interior fuse boxes.

I found these on Reddit a while ago, probably good to have them archived here as well.

I used the "ignition on" from the 12V outlet under the hood, even if your truck did not come with the outlet I believe the wires are still there. I hit all time power right on top of the 12v battery.

It seems like there is a word missing.
Was that supposed to read "5 High Current connectors?"

After owning the truck for a year I went to use the 12V plug under the dash -- hmmm, no power. Brought me to this page. Big thanks to those that posted here.

Careful teams. On ICE vehicles it was customary to disconnect 12 volt battery and then wait 5 minutes for the airbag backup capacitors to drain. Have no idea how to disarm airbags on our Rivian’s. Other than slicing the emergency cut link under the frunk. Beside the possibility of serious personal injury if an airbag deploys close to your body there are the thousands of dollars in costs you will incur to replace a deployed air bag. So along with all of you we need access to basic service info and should begin using legal means to obtain it.

Here is a picture of my R1S driver's side fuse panel. I did not have to remove any panels to get this angle - taken upwards from just in front of the brake pedal, next to the steering shaft, cell phone in selfie mode.

Odd - when I hold the pointer over the image it says "passenger-side."
Probably due to the name of the thread.
I will soon post an Excel sheet based on the previously provided diagrams and charts, referenced fuze types and observed current ratings for both panels checked against my R1S.
Odd note: neither side diagram has a fuze #61.

Here is a better picture of my driver's side fuze panel. R1S VIN ...011055

I am going to check a few circuits before posting my spreadsheet as there are some anomalies between what I see and what is in the previous diagrams.
