Is this worth entering a Service Request for?

I picked up my R1S one week ago. Love the car so far and the build quality seems to be great except for one panel alignment on the passenger door (See attached).

My question: Is this panel alignment worth requesting a Service for?
In others experience, is this something they will/can actually fix?
Better yet- anyone else have a DIY fix for this alignment.

Yes, have the SC look at it. Give it some time in case something more urgent pops up like a recall, or in my case, a sagging front suspension.

One of my panel issues was fixable my me, but I had two others so I decided to have SC deal with all of it.

That is a personal decision. I would not waste my time with a ticket but might try to adjust it on my own.

I had a slight issue where in warmer temperatures (over 100 degrees) there was enough expansion on the right front fender that the front passenger door was knicking it when it opened. I just grabbed a flat crow bar and slightly reshaped that section of the fender to get more clearance, took me 15 minutes, looks great and no further issues.

Yes. I had the same issues when I picked up mine in April. Finally had all the minor issues like that, the liftgate misalignment, dash rattle and other things fixed 3 weeks ago.

For issues like these — have folks been able to keep their car until a specified date, then bring it over to be worked on during the day (or multiple days) they need the vehicle, or have you had to part with your vehicle for longer while it sits in a queue of sorts?

Yes, put in a ticket.. with updates to the manual, you only have 12 months to fix panel gaps, miss alignments, etc

YES...I had similar thing on my hood which they aligned

When I called end of September, two weeks after delivery for a San Jose SC, my first available date was December 27th. When I called to add my second issue I got it moved upto December 20th. Now that I’ve called back for my sixth item it’s still December 20th. I was encouraged to call back with new issues as they arose. My latest call, a week ago, the service writer told me it would now be a multi day work order. I wouldn’t worry if you don’t have a list.

If you put in a service request, you probably won't get in much before January....depending on your Service Center. I personally would wait a mont or so before you put in a request. It will give it time for you to hear things, see things and possible issues.

They prioritize "driveability" issues before cosmetic issues. We had our R1T for a month and a "headlight system" was having an issue. Basically it was the headlight wouldn't turn on which is ok during the day, but rendered it useless at night. They came and picked it up and had it in the shop for 3 weeks before they figured out what was wrong.......2 wires were grounding out. THey had to use a scope to figure it out and where it was.
