Is anyone else having Level 2 charging issues after the last update? I have had several failures to initiate charging. The error seems to be on the Vehicle side, not the charger side. Granted, it has been very cold here, but I have charged before in this weather with no issues.

I'm having charging issues: after 3.5 years with the truck, it will no longer charge at 3 (so far) known working chargers by my house. I plug in and the truck just says "waiting for charger" or something like that and never starts.

They're all free non-networked chargers. I called Rivian, but since it still starts fine at my house, Rivian told me it must be a simultaneous problem with each of the three chargers and I should reach out to the owners of each - even though they still work fine with every other car. Very frustrating.

Edit: '22 Gen 1 R1T

Funny that this is the first thing I saw this morning when checking the forum ...

Last night, my schedule didn't initiate a charge. Am at 34%, and have meetings 40 miles away. Not catastrophic, but immensely irritating.

It was in my garage and it's not that cold in there. 55 degrees or so.

I just plugged into another free L2 charger (#4) that I've used consistently since 2015 and it's also showing "Waiting on charger..." in the truck with no option to start it from the truck. The "stop charging" button is greyed out in the app and looks available in the truck, but it doesn't do anything. 45° here this morning.

Yes. Issues. Blink chargers using Sema at work. Have to try 4-5 times. Annoying.

edit: f**k it. I gave up. Home works fine.

Are they just a "plug in and it starts" or do you need to use an app/card/something to start the charging? And does it work eventually (after 4-5+ times) or never start?

So far, I've only had issues on the "just plug in"-type chargers, but I haven't tried others in the past few days. And even if I unplug/re-plug, it never starts for me. I'm not sure the difference between that and home, though - it's still working reliably at home. 🤔

Uses an app. Last week 4 tries in the cold rain and it started working. I couldn’t be bothered today.

Charger was making a bunch of relay switching sounds.

I've had one or two issues since the last upgrade; one was at a free, community L2 charger at a local grocery store; it would never initialize. I was a few minutes from the house so I just brushed it off. The second was last week following errands in sub-freezing temps. Trying to establish charging at home on the L2 garage circuit, I kept getting the red glow on the button and a "Please disconnect / reconnect" message on the display. Bouncing the circuit did not solve the problem. I ultimately had to hard reboot the R1T and that cleared it.

Out and about today in sub-freezing temps. Came home, plugged in and it started charging immediately; no issues.

That's exactly what I'm seeing: issues at the free community chargers. I've tried 2 at a grocery store & 2 at a school. All are working fine for other people (Tesla/Kia/BMW/etc/etc). I tried rebooting (left & hazard) and it didn't help.

Question: Do your community chargers appear on the navigation? We have several around us (local community college campus, town services, library, etc.); I can physically see them but either then do not show up on the nav display or they show up as no slots available.

One set (the grocery store) shows but without availability info - it used to be Volta, now Shell Recharge. The 2 at the school don't show up at all - they're non-networked Clipper Creek with a 9.6 rating on plugshare.
