MUSSING BOLT-Bolt Spec needed-Front brake caliper

Well, I heard some knocking in the front end when I used the brakes and sure enough, I’m missing the top caliper mounting bolt. 2022 LE R1T. 25k miles. Can’t drive the truck like this obviously. Does anyone have the spec for the front brake caliper mounting bolt? Otherwise I’ll have to take one out of the other side to measure. Thanks in advance. Not the best day to have this happen ugghhh.

Yikes! I don't know it, but recommend a hefty zip tie, like flex cuffs thick, if you need something to hold you over until you get a replacement.

How far is your service center? Since you are still under warranty I would not consider a DIY fix unless having Rivian do it wasn't practical.

When you report the problem the app may assign you a day many months out but once a human sees your ticket I suspect that they will get you in ASAP. It seems like something a mobile tech could do so if you are in range you might not even have to bring it to them.

I submitted a ticket and called road side assistance immediate after. Got an appt for next Wednesday. Rivian sent me a 150$ Uber credit and an Enterprise rental car. Good job Rivian! If it wasn’t Thanksgiving day, I’d get a new bolt myself, but that’s but the case.

Have you ever had the brakes serviced? Either DIY or Rivian. I just noticed, we're similar delivery date, 30xx VIN for me but 56k miles.

Hi @onthebrake, did this get covered on your warranty?
I just bought a used '22 R1T LE 7k miles and after driving it for a while noticed the some knocking. Turns out the same bolt was missing. It's in the Rivian service center now. They mentioned that the previous owner had the half shafts replaced through Rivian as part of a routine quality check.

Yes, Rivian replaced the bolt under warranty and they also replaced the caliper since it got damaged banging against my wheel.
