People get so upset about the silliest things.

Is it silly though? For me, I would like to see their software engineers spending more time on real feature / functionality changes that actually matter. A cartoon I never see is meaningless and it’s all they can talk about. There are so many things they could improve - like the mobile app, or entertainment options in car, or the little UI tweaks (like a clock in drivers display) that would be a more beneficial use of their programmers time.

You're assuming (erroneously, I believe) that all software developers are interchangeable parts who can seamlessly jump from one domain to another. I would be surprised if the team that builds the mobile app, for example, was pulled off that to update the graphics in the drive mode screen.

You're assuming (erroneously, I believe) that all software developers are interchangeable parts who can seamlessly jump from one domain to another. I would be surprised if the team that builds the mobile app, for example, was pulled off that to update the graphics in the drive mode screen.

This^^ in an enterprise of their scale; they'll have a team devoted to just gui work, totally different skillset from the developers doing all the other coding / testing.

Do you mean the other side of the displayed truck or the rear? Sport mode shows the rear but I do not believe one can spin the truck around like a floating 3D model.

I don’t mind the cartoon imagery. I just wish the powers that be at Rivian could spend and extra three minutes to put the odometer on the driver screen.

This one disproportionately annoys me when every time I'm driving the Rivian on the highway, I get in this doom loop of -
Sign: 7 miles to exit X,
Me: okay let me just check the odometer so I can know when I need to switch lanes,
Me: ah just f*** me - this stupid car was designed by people that need GPS to get anywhere...
Waze: police officer in 10 miles
Me: Dammit!!!

I agree, it does suck. I paid over 80k when all was done to see a cartoon. I was coming on here today to post how Childish the new graphics are.
The kids that would think this is cool couldn't afford one....
Please change this stupid cartoon back.
