Next Batch of NACS Adapters Shipping to Rivian Owners!

Ford deliveries are around 6K at this point. GM claims they have some adapters in stock and ready to ship, when Tesla gives them the green light. GM did testing a couple of weeks ago and I was able to charge my Hummer using the Ford adapter, then a day later they turned it off for GM.

Total. There is a poll on the Mach E forums, with order numbers versus delivered. The first batch was 1k, then for a few weeks they were delivering 1-2k per week. Order numbers are shared between Mach E and Lightning, both got to sign up at the same time.

Even rivian service centers only have 1 adapter for them to use. They are looking at certifying third party ones according to Kyle.

I just read an article a few days ago that Tesla’s supplier had a stop on shipments to Ford and GM. I would guess Rivian may me affected also

Based on your signature, there’s literally a year’s worth of R1Ts and 5,000 RIS deliveries in front of you in line for the adapter. You should definitely start looking for an alternative for your summer trip, since there’s a shipping delay on those as well. Odds of getting the Rivian-provided charger in time is close to zero.

Agreed. I went ahead and ordered the Lectron one from their website (short free shipping to Chicagoland from Minneapolis hopefully), and used the 7% discount code of SHAREASALE7 so about the same price as the A2Z with RIV dicount code.

BTW, When I asked Lectron on the noted disconnection issues they stated:
"In line with the adapter and the issue you mentioned about removing the NACS cord, I'm pleased to inform you that we have made improvements to our adapter design. These enhancements address any known issues, ensuring a smoother experience for our customers. "

The NACS adapter should have shipped with the same removal mini pouch found in the Field kit. Fits perfectly.

I have a Tesla and an account but have not used a Tesla charger yet. For the Rivian, do I use the Tesla app or Rivian? Thx

Probably only matters if you pay the $13/mo for the Tesla membership…
