That’s the silver lining, we get 2024/25 models possibly with NACS and auto tonneau covers…maybe. But I’m trying to figure out why it appears as though only R1S preorder holders are getting the “limited time special offer” for 2023 delivery if you change configurations? ?

I think Rivian will soon phase out the Bosch quad motor engines. There will be many people with early LE pre-orders who will never get LE vehicles. Essentially there are going to push people/direct them into their enduro units…

But they don't have a quad motor (Enduro) alternative to replace the Bosch unit...make sense? I guess it is probably only a matter of time before they make their own quad motor at which time yes I can see this happening..

I drove by the location last weekend and I saw a guy painting the outside. Couldn’t tell what was happening inside. Have to go after hours but I’ll stop by in a few days. It’s fairly close.

Given that my delivery date got pushed out to mid-2024, I doubt they'll have their act together by the end of this month.

Has anyone else noticed that they have the option to “confirm configuration” in their account? No email, just appeared. From what I understand, aside from making your $1,500 non-refundable, it means your car gets scheduled for production and you get a guide assigned within days.

if that’s happening, that must mean that they anticipate the service centre to be operational for deliveries very shortly.

Side note: I haven’t confirmed because I want to delay receipt to the summer and, hopefully, avoid a NACS adapter.

Pretty the vehicles coming with a NACS port is not until sometime in 2025. Only providing the adapter in 2024.

I'm pretty sure I confirmed quite a few times... whenever we'd receive Rivian e-mails asking us to confirm before the 15th of certain months so that they give us a "delivery window".

And when I did confirm, they'd send me an e-mail at the end of the month telling me I still in "processing estimate" status. 3 months later, I'd still get another e-mail asking for confirmation. Rince, wash, repeat ad infinitum.

Pretty sure they will call you personally before finalizing your order... the BC folks could confirm. I wouldn't worry about interim confirmations, they can always be modified.

Stopped by on Saturday the 7th. There were actually some workers reinstalling the interlocking stones over where they ran the electrical for the chargers. The metal stands for the chargers are in. They have 4 lifts total installed. It also it looks like they upgraded the electrical service to the building (new box at the edge of the parking lot). There is a sign by the door leading to the rounded front corner that says customer lounge. I think late October to early November is very possible.

Haha.. I went by yesterday and took almost all the exact same pictures.

A couple contactors on site yesterday chatting with a few people that were passing by.

I'm not optimistic that it will be completed by the end of October, but certainly deliveries before the end of the year.

I see the one box has a Hofmann logo on it. That would likely be a tire changer or balancer. Good sign to see the equipment sitting there ready to be installed. But still looks like its a ways from being completed. Thanks for the updated pics!
