You should start a thread and keep us up to date on what's going on with your reservation. Are you i a location more than 300 miles from a service center?
no, i live 7 miles from the SC in WA.

tbh, its not an issue that i haven't been invited to configure because it seems like folks who waited longer than me haven't either. my issue is that someone who literally just ordered a month ago already has. that makes no sense.

WTF. i reserved an R1S in July 2022 and nothing. is Rivian back to the "Rivian Lottery" again?
I live 50 miles from a service center, have an R1T already, and it looks like Rivian is still targeting Colorado and California. There is still no estimate yet after I configured, so who knows how long it'll be before they actually match me to a vin.

Complete the sentence:

Tesla raised prices when production-constrained and when parts were expensive during the pandemic but has dropped prices precipitously since then.

Rivian raised prices when production-constrained and when parts were expensive during the pandemic but has ____ prices since then.

There were an astonishing number of R1S’s prepped for delivery at the SSF SC when I dropped my truck off yesterday. Production is ramping fast.
I'm picking mine up there in about an hour!

I have a toking Quad-Motor R1T, but I'd consider a Dual-Motor R1S if Rivian gave me a good offer on my R1T along with a reasonable interest rate.

I'm pretty sure I can get a good interest rate on a EV6.

In other words while demand might be reducing its not at a point where Rivian is pulling any demand levers.

Same situation here. Waiting to see what Rivian will give me for my R1T, I configured a Dual Motor R1S. If offer is too low, I'll just wait until demand goes down and they are forced to lower R1S price.

I'm also going to wait a bit to see what issues the Dual Motor R1S has.

Even with the Quad there are issues like the TOCK on accel/decel that I don't see being reported much on new ones despite Rivian Service claiming "They all Tock".

Apparently I can't handle the tock.. haha.

In my defense it does make my R1T sound like an 80 year old man who's bones crack anytime he gets up.

There are only so many people able/willing to spend 100k. At current prices, I would likely have been out too.

Rivian needs a cheaper version, to get the tax credits. Not everyone needs an expensive super car suspension. While I loved the feature, I will gladly take steel springs and adaptive dampers now. It's too complex for its own good and it takes 4 hours to do an alignment. That would be close to 1k out of warranty. Yikes ?. And I have excessive wear on both front edges. Door handles, glass roof are other money saving options.

Well, they’re offering really cheap leasing, which is similar to a price cut. They want to continue offering leasing, which means they would prefer not to cut the list price.

My R1T has creaked and tocked for a while now, I've gotten used to it. From what I've heard, the dual motor sounds a lot better. I'm hoping its true.

Once the standard LFP battery is released you will be able to configure the dual motor standard battery in both the S and T under 80k and get 3750 tax credit.

Since it is LFP and can charge to 100% the daily range is comparable to the large pack around 75%.
