Hi everyone,

I own my R1T since August 2022 and drove it for a little over 25,000 miles. Today I picked up my car from the Service Center after they did realignment on my wheels (it caused significant steering wheel vibration over 60 mph on highway). To my surprise I was told that they found out some issues around the battery and it will have to be replaced. Given the lead time for them to order the battery and later keep the truck at the Service Center for around a week to swap the battery, I took my truck to drive it for another two weeks.

Seems a little odd to me, I did not have any issues or errors linked to the battery. At the end, I am glad to get a new battery pack, hopefully it will prolong a little more the battery life for my car.

Anyone had a similar experience recently ?

I will post further updates once I get closer to my service date.
Double check if they are putting truly the brand new battery.

I think there were other posts saying surprisingly they did not get the new battery and got instead somewhat used battery.

Very good point.

How can I verify it ? Based on the battery's capacity ?

In those other posts, Rivian said so when the owner asked.

Guess I'll be taking my R1S in for an "alignment" at 7.9year or 149k mile mark and see what they find
You still won't know if they don't tell you. One of the few disadvantages of not having a dealer. I always took my previous vehicles in for a checkup right as warranty expired. They want paid to do the warranty work and I want a vehicle in good shape. Found issues a couple of times.

Mine was a remanufactured and the cost was almost $26,000 which was covered.

Had mine replaced with a RE-Manufactured pack. Cost was almost $26,000 covered under warranty. Range is up to EPA rating. These remanufactured packs are probably other ones that have been returned and rebuilt and or repaired. Enclosed is the invoice.
