I'm getting the full vehicle option from Heatshieldstore.com, both from people's reviews in this thread, and others in places like Youtube where reviewers recommend them for car camping. I haven't recieved and installed them yet.

Looks like the cover craft uvs100 only goes up to 2024 R1S. Will it work for 2025 as well? I think they are the same windshield

It should work. No differences AFAIK and the cut out for the sensor housing is generous enough.

I've been looking for a good windshield sunshade and saw that Rivian has one in the gear shop. Anyone try this yet? It seems awful expensive for a sunshade, but willing to pay for it if the quality is good. Thanks!
I got one using my rewards points. It’s good quality. Pretty basic. I’m sure they’re are many more affordable choices on Amazon. But this is a nice one if you don’t mind the price.

I just bought BestEvMod Foldable Roof Sunshade and it's much better than ones I've tried before. Fit perfectly on both roof panels with just a few wrinkles on the material which may come out over time. Others I had were weak edges and would sag but BestEVMod doesn't do that.

Have the Rivian windshield shade but haven't used it yet year and it's heavy duty for sure. I'm considering getting everything but the roof ceramic tinted to cut down on the sun. Concerned with doing the roof and will likely just stick with the sunshade. I'm not sure if the sunshade is "safer" than tinting when it comes to cracking though.

I think the Rivian one is made by Covercraft. Description of materials very similar to Covercraft’s high end shade. Priced similarly too.

Very similar to Rivian-branded shade at a third of the price. I have the Grey shade and it fits and works well
I ended pickup up one of these and had it delivered today. Seems to fit well. It is fully supported by sun visors it seems so it will be interesting to see how that ages over time (Does the sun visor spring hold up)

I do like the idea of the UV film and if I replace my windshield in the future I may have the film added.

Common misconception, auto glass blocks UV already. IR is what passes through and heat up the interior and everything in it. There are ceramic tinting films marketed specifically for windshield application, with high IR rejection, and high light transmission (~70%). Down side is they are not distortion free and not inexpensive. If you ever need to replace the windshield... it becomes a damage multiplier.

Good to know! Thanks for the insight.

This has been out of stock in the Rivian Gear Store for over a month.
When will Rivian resupply?

I went with 3M ceramic tint int he lightest available option. According to the 3M website, that stuff rejects "up to 66% of total solar energy and provides up to 95% infrared rejection." That keeps the harmful rays out of the vehicle even when driving it and it's no fuss to fold and store as well. Since I'm in CA and we really don't have to worry about afternoon thunderstorms, I also use the "Vent Windows" option in the app as this provides an easy way for excess heat buildup to bleed off.

I have this, and I love how fast/easy it is to deploy and stow. That's a thing for me, I hate dealing with the large ones that take too much effort so I won't use them if I feel lazy.

The "large" fits the Rivian very well, although the numbers they list don't really match up to my measurements. But it works super well.
