Happened to me in the drive through getting coffee one AM. Luckily nobody else was behind me lol.It just happened to me. 12:15PM EST, complete reset while driving.
anyone else??
Yes. It’s a complete reset of the infotainment. So you are all talking about a “infotainment reset” or “soft reset”, which may occur while driving and even though it’s scary, it really doesn’t affect any driving systems (aside from navigation if you are using it.
A full reset is not likely possible while driving and would likely cause you to crash
I'm 8,700 miles and 4.5mo into ownership. Never had this happen.....until the last update. It's happened twice in the last week now.Have you installed the latest update? 2024.51 had notes that it was supposed to address this issue specifically

Well No, I'm not talking about an 'infotainment reset" or a "soft reset". If it had been Just a reset of any sort why did Rivian send a tech to check it out? Why didn't the service center just tell me it happens all the time, no big deal? AND when the person came to look at my R1T said he tried a reset and it did nothing. He went through different systems and found what cooled the screens was not adequate. It had dropped off somehow and was working on one side but not the other. So you are all talking about a “infotainment reset” or “soft reset”, which may occur while driving and even though it’s scary, it really doesn’t affect any driving systems (aside from navigation if you are using it.
