Im going to write up a trip report and post some new threads on individual things, but we had issues with anticipated range while returning from a road trip yesterday (updated half way through, we like to live dangerously). Coming home on our last two segments yesterday the R1S would have battery capacity way over the mileage on the GPS and the vehicle would insist we wouldn't make it and try to get us to stop to charge. (like a 40 mile differential see pic)

Depending on elevation gain and speed I've found the range reported in the driver display is often way off from reality. The NAV range has proven pretty close to my actual experience, however, which is nice.

While I think the update is good it still needs major improvements. Not sure why it would skip a RAN and go to EA when RAN is only selected preferred network. Some routing is odd
Any wild compressor noises/issues?

What's your setting for mileage on arrival? If it's 40 miles or higher, then isn't the routing is correct that you won't theoretically make it to that Walmart with your desired remaining?

Also as Commodore mentioned, the range estimate in the driver display is based on a recent average efficiency, whereas the estimate in the routing seems to take into account elevation and speed along the route.

We found both pretty accurate in older software, but once updated it was way off. In the photo above the GPS said we wouldn't make it even though we had charged about 40 miles over the mileage the GPS, google maps, and ABRP all said the segment was. As we drove the GPS continued to update to 10 miles on arrival, 20, 30, etc and it finally agreed that we would have 38 miles on arrival about 5 minutes before we got there. It was actually accurate post-update for the first few segments of our return trip, but we had some issues with bad EA charging stations that kept stopping in NJ and we happened to be planning our routes while charging (to see how much range we needed) and I wonder if the charging stops that kept interrupting confused it. I did an infotainment reset when I got home, but haven't had a chance to play with it and see if it is still inaccurate.

By the time there is enough public charging infrastructure to actually use an EV for more than commuting, in Wisconsin, this whole ABRP and RAN thing should be worked out. Wouldn't know, since nearest RAN would require a big road trip in first place.

I take the ICE almost all trips where I can't head back home with more than 50% state of charge.

We did think of that as the culprit and at one point set the range required on arrival to 1 mile. Still didn't agree. I think in the screenshot above we had set it to 10 miles on arrival. We were driving the NJ turnpike from near Newark to a stop on I-95 in MD so very flat, if not downhill slightly (except for the DE bridge)

Nothing on that front. Our daily highs have been 75-80. Pretty moderate compared to you. I've only experienced the loud compressor pre update during DCFC pre conditioning and it doesn't bother me. Hasn't been so extreme where some have mentioned feeling the vibration in the go pedal.

I will say that on my first drive with the new update just now I did not get any of the compressor noises that I have been over the past few days. Also, I’m seeing pretty impressive efficiency numbers on a drive that I do all the time I’ve never seen anything in the 2.9 range, which is virtually all highway.

What is the time/distance between the stations?
3:22 205 miles to Woodburn EA. 2:59 184 miles to Happy Valley RAN.
Roseburg RAN (I5) is 180 miles from Happy Valley RAN or 149 from Woodburn EA.
Hitting the Happy Valley RAN adds 8 miles to route between Seattle and Roseburg RAN
Edit- Another 8 miles for guaranteed plug and charge is worth it

Is that downhill with a tornado tailwind? I barely broke 1.9 on a short trip to work. Weedeater sucks down the juice I guess.

We will get help in the spring once we can access superchargers. At that point, we won’t be limited to the I-94 route between Milwaukee and Minneapolis, which will be a big upgrade.

Haha no actually, literally highway driving in 75* weather here in Denver with a bit of city mixed in. I was surprised as well.

Yes, why would they remove it? Seems really strange. Overall as Amazon is cutting Alexa resources all of Alexa functions will likely keep decreasing.
I think Rivian is working on a "Hey Gary" voice assistant. ;)
