Loose subframe or something?

it’s going to be real interesting here being 8 hours and an international border away from the closest service centre….
I am 5 1/2 hours from nearest SC. I’ve had 4 service tickets in for going in 10 days now with no response.

Closest for you would be what, Portland?

My R1T has a strange rattling noise coming from the rear cab while going over rough patches of pavement as if somethingis not screwed down. Also, the rear suspension makes some weird noises when going over speed humps at low speed.

thats unfortunate. They are picking mine up on the 14th to ‘fix’ my 5 issues. I’ll reply with their findings once I get it back.

I hate clunks, noises, squeaks etc. coming from a brand new $75k vehicle.

Raptor owners are also experiencing some clunking noises when going over bumps. It turns out that many owners have had defective Fox shocks installed at the factory.

Howdy All.. I believe I have found one of the major areas of rattling / clunking concern!!
I got my Rivian Saturday (June 4) and immediately noticed major rattling on the rear passenger door area while driving at 30-50mph (the speeds where you're making the vehicle really move but can still hear rattles).

Under the Rivian, on the very edges of the skid plate, there is plastic trim that runs the length of the truck just underneath the rocker panels (but underneath on the flat area). That plastic trim rattles SIGNIFICANTLY!! When you tap on it with your hand, you'll immediately notice that it's definitely the source of a lot of the rattles that we all think are coming from our suspension or rear door panels.

I'm hoping those of you who can will check this out and see if it's a universal problem for you. I can't seem to figure out how to tighten it all up because it just seems to be rattly all along those plastics panels-- not just near the fasteners.

Let me know!

Thanks all!

Is it just the passenger side? What about the driver's side?

Man, these plasticky covers on the outer edges sure feels flimsy and cheap. I checked both sides, they seemed to be solidly bolted down but who knows at speed.
The rattles that I'm hearing is also right rear passenger side but more of a metallic rattle...

I'm almost 100% that the rattles you're hearing are coming from these plastic covers! My rattling sounds like there's metal in the rear door pocket of the metal speaker in the rear passenger door. But I've sat back there while someone else drives and inspected it extensively while the rattle is happening. I'm almost 100% positive it's these flimsy plastic covers (pictured in your photo)!

Great! And I thought it was the broken tonneau cover in the bed. I'm taking my R1T to her first SC visit this Friday and I'll have them check it out and report their findings Thanks!!

Appears this video won't load for me. Would love to see if it's the same squeaking that I'm experiencing.

I had to open it in YouTube in order for it to play. That’s way worse than mine is.
My truck got picked up by transport on Friday so I’ll know soon enough if they find anything wrong
