To be fair, no one does and for good reason. There's not a whole lot of demand there nor is there a real reason to even go to most of northern MN. The parts that are worthwhile to go to (north shore area) there are charging options all over.

Yeah I can see that but I have been going up there for years on various lakes (Cass, Leech, Vermilion) and there seems to be a lot people that do go up there. So putting some DCFC in places like Virginia, Grand Rapids, etc would seem to make sense.

Yes, I think getting chargers in those areas (and Brainerd) would be great and those are all tourist areas that may be well served by at least a few chargers.

Lol depends on where in northern MN. My inlaws are from NW MN and I can assure you there's no reason to go there.

I'm going to be visiting family in NH this June and we usually do a day trip to Portsmouth. I imagine we will have Tesla access by then and we will be charging overnight at my in-laws anyway, but I am excited to jump across the border and check this out!

If my app is to be believed, Newburgh, NY just opened! I’m so thrilled. I have yet to use a RAN after 18 months with my truck, mostly wandering up to Maine and back.

Hopefully the other New England sites follow sooooon.

I'm still wondering why they would install them there vs... anywhere with less coverage. There's EA chargers on the first floor of the parking garage (not sure if it's the nordstrom's garage, but whatever) and this area is thick with chargers. Like, Thiccccccccc

The only thing I can imagine is that it could be tied to a Rivian space/test drive hub much in the same way that Lucid has a setup with test drive cars near the American Girl Doll Store ( <-- Girl Dad); however, I think Lucid's setup is all L2.

I'm more interested in expanded coverage in the Outer Banks... They could crush it with some RAN chargers in the shopping center just south of the Off-road beach access, especially with the new bridge going into that area.

What is the new bridge in OBX? Or are you talking about the Rodanthe bridge that is already open?

I have been waiting for this one to open up as I make trips to Saratoga Springs and Lake Placid 2-4 times a year and I should be able to just make it to Newburgh on the way up if charged to 100%. On the way back I hit that location then the DE ran.
The Newburgh EA station only has 4 chargers and I never charged at full speed and was lucky since as I was leaving there was a line of cars waiting to charge.

Nice find. I think this is the 4th RAN open this year. Have a few weeks before the end of Q1 so hopefully more come online.

The amount of summer cabin traffic should be enough for Rivian to have a footprint.

Agree 100%. That's exactly why I go there every summer. I know Rivian has a RAN tentatively planned for Cook, MN which would be very helpful to me but I think there needs to be more in Virginia, Grand Rapids, Bemidji, etc.

There is 1 SC in Baxter, and we won't be able to use that one. Thousands of people go to the Brainerd lakes area every weekend. I can't believe how much this is being missed. Circle K has a location in Baxter in the works, but I can't get any response from them, when they'll even start construction.

Good point. At least there is one in Onamia which is kind of close to Baxter/Brainerd. Going NW of Duluth there is pretty much nothing but a few ZEF 50 kW chargers which are usually broken.

Yeah, until the Circle K location opens, I'll take 169 north to top off at that SC location.

I usually like going on 94 then cutting over in Clear Lake so I can stop at McDonalds meats.
