Sad but true. And Iām mostly shocked that Apple havenāt stepped in or forced a removal of the app. Appleās QC is outstanding and their tolerance for reputational harm is 0%. Im sure this is an internal hot topic. Probably the worst implementation of an Apple ecosystem since Motorola fumbled iTunes.I have to agree with the post you are replying to.....It is near unusable.
I have a Gen 1 Meridian system if that makes a difference. Tried both types of restart multiple times. My expectation is that i am able to browse, choose and play music immediately after entering the vehicle. Instead, the previously playing playlist/station wont play, content browsing windows have no content for a while, then you select something to play and it spins. Then I have to choose a few different things before it actually starts playing. 10 minutes later it plays. Doesnt matter if I am on Wifi or using the built in LTE. This has never been a problem with the other music apps in my 2.5 years of ownership. Once it is playing it works fairly well, but getting it playing is really frustrating.
I never had the speaker volume issues that some have reported so I guess it was my turn to have some bugs. Hope they get it sorted this release.
I am a huge Rivian fanboy and sadly this has really missed the mark.
