Just had 12v battery failure that appears to be bad battery? They replaced under warranty thankfully. We've had the R1S for only 10 months (9,200mi). R1S gets driven 6-7 days/week, we charge in garage - typically run it between 50-70% as we tend to plug it in ~ every other day.
I got little warning - unplugged from Rivian charger (@70%), pulled out from garage and got a variety of warning messages including 12v problem.
Very, very appreciative that the San Jose service center was willing to send out mobile service to take care of this. Mobile technician opined that 6-9 months is what he's seen in a number of these for the 12v (!).
In my case, we were unable to "jump" it via cables at the back: tried jump box and also 12v trickle charger. Technician had to manually release frunk by removing panels underneath/manual release. Replaced 12v (just one in this vehicle) and everything back to normal.
