No. No casting at all in motion. The software does not differentiate between audio and video centric apps.

Thanks for the quick reply. I figured that was the case, but still a bummer. Can think of a lot of YouTube folks I follow where the videos would be totally fine as audio-only. To me it seems as simple as just not displaying the video while the audio keeps going, but things are never that simple I'm sure.

A use case is watching something while waiting for curb side pickup, or a spouse is in the store shopping.

I do most of my charging at home but when I go to Tahoe it will be nice to use while I'm charging since it takes about an hour to charge my R1S. Also, if I ever loose power at home, I jump in my R1S in the driveway with a blanket and my pups and watch my shows LOL

Hopefully they add a feature for casting audio while in motion - would be great since there is still no usb audio and the built in apps are subpar.

You've clearly never travelled on BC Ferries in the summer between Vancouver and Victoria. If you show up without a reservation, you might be sitting in your vehicle for 10 hours waiting to get on a boat, at which point you're on the boat for another 2 hours. This is pretty much the only thing so far that entices me to pay for Connect+.

This thread is chaos. Love it? Use it. Don’t love it? Don’t use it. Can’t understand the hype? it’s not for you.

As someone with 2 young kids, that has a lot of waiting to do pre/during/post drop offs…it’s a huge help for all family members.

I’m just glad features keep rolling out and I can’t believe how flawlessly smooth it has worked. The implementation in BMW’s for example is quite poor by comparison.

Anyone having issues casting Netflix? Many of the other apps are working fine but the R1T isn’t in the list when trying to cast. Might try a reboot

Is it me I am very under whelmed with this, meaning I may DCFC twice a month and prefer to sleep for 15 mins there or traveling needs to get out and walk for 15 mins. Please don’t get me wrong a good add on for the Rivian… Yes this is part of why I should pay for connect plus I would love to see a quarter of bug stomping and buyers request fulfilled. Give us a month to submit every bitch gripe or I want and then next month vote and rack and stack top 5-10 and they get added resolved/added over next year. And Yes Gen 1 vs Gen 2 and R1S vs R1T….if there is overlap on all 4 great bonus… I can go on why this is and and not possible… I would love a valet service tied to the fob or key card, a driver profile tied to PAAK or card… While the Rivian platform is great I feel like it is a 1000 papercuts of small items that tend to add up.
