It does that on purpose depending on the exterior temps and your climate setting.

example, hot outside, the seat will auto prefer the ventilated option
I think that's a great function, but one would think 80+ inside and 99F outside is warm enough to not default to heater

Too much cold hard cash in your back pockets maybe? 🤣

I think it may be temperature dependent. If the truck is hot, does yours still revert to the heater?
Probably. That's been a source of irritation for 2+ years - it defaults to heated seats, when ventilated seats ought to be the default. They did make some changes a few months back - a pop up that lasts for a few seconds, and allows you to change it. But I'd rather it stay where I set it, or default to ventilate - I don't want to have to divert my attention to that while I'm driving.

My insider understanding is that they will 100% support CarPlay.
This comment is like the Waffle House during a hurricane. If I can't find it after an update comment, I worry that something is very wrong.

While on that topic, instead of using tiny little dots at the bottom, can't we just use the larger part of the icon to show it. So it always show the 3 slashes, than you have to look at the tiny dots below. Much harder to see those than if they showed 1, 2 or 3 slashes (or slices of bacon) so you could quickly tell.

I don't mind them as long as they come with some documentation. More than 2 years of ownership, within the last 3 months I have gotten two Driver+ updates out of the blue with no explanation. In roughly the same period I've been prompted to update keyfob, also out of the blue and with no explanation. Furthermore, once I bring the fob to the vehicle (as asked) the update prompt disappeared. Did it update? who knows?! This popped up again the other day just as I was taking my cat to the vet. I delayed it to another time. The next day, I had the fob with me to follow-up. No trace of the update anywhere in menus. Are they just messing with me? (kidding)

Every single type of update should be handled like the OTAs. List it in update menu, along with documentation; even if it's just a brief one or two sentence description.
There should be a log of the updates too... Externalized memory is essential these days.

Disagree. All to the good from my view, keep em coming!
I've had the screens reboot several times while driving already and especially the responsiveness of the climate screen is terrible. The worst yet was the center screen completely freezing to user input and the rearview camera not popping up when needed...followed about 30s later by a reboot. This kind of thing never happened even 6 months ago. Keep the updates coming, but actually test your shit before releasing it. At least this update looks to be mainly a bugfix release instead of headlining big new features.

Okay, makes sense knowing your experience.
Objectively, I haven't experienced any of that, funny how these vehicles are so different one from another!
Sounds like you might be the "fixed a rare instance guy".

Might be something wrong with your truck. I have never had a screen reset or freezing. Worst Ive had was no justice for 10 min.
