Comma only needs 1 power tap.Wondering how much Rivian service will kick having both a Comma and EV Play. I’ll start with EV Play then see about Comma.
Rivian SC blamed my OBD-USB adapter (used for phone charger) for my SOS failure icon, and threw up their hands.
I’ve also tapped the horn power for 2nd horn.
So that would be +4 power taps if I include EV Play.
I’ll look and see how many more Comma needs.
On the website Alex now shows shipping expected in August. He's clearly getting closer with more videos posted. Thank you @Gurule92 for posting that!Is there a definite release date yet?
I use the EveryAmp OBD connector and a 8 ft USB-C cable tucked up to give my passenger cabled power from the front of the Rivian (no 12V port in mine). Possibly the best $20 I ever spent on my Rivian - Thank you @EveryAmpRight, would be great to have USB-C wired charging as well from there.
Notably, when I had them unplug and re-test the problem remained. Sorry, not to hijack. I had to take the truck from the SC to leave on a road trip. I need to schedule a follow up, and added major new dash rattle since 1500-mile National Parks road trip. Adventure!Concern:
- Customer states that the SOS calling feature is not working and has received a recommendation to service it soon. Alternative emergency communication should be planned.
Cause:
- Function tested the SOS operation and verified it is currently working. Found trouble codes logged to the vehicle's data regarding an issue with one of the vehicle's antennas. Upon inspection found an aftermarket device plugged into the OBD port, as well as what appears to be an aftermarket wireless charger connected to the vehicle. 3rd party electronic devices are known to cause several, odd faults, especially ones connected to the OBD port. 3rd party wireless chargers are also known to produce excessive radio frequencies that can disrupt antenna functionality in Rivian vehicles. Customer is advised to unplug all 3rd party electronics and monitor the issue. If it comes back, the customer is welcomed to book another service appointment.
Correction/Remedy:
- Antennas General Diagnostic, No Trouble Found | Labor Code: 783899112 | 0.5 hr* | $117.50
Yup, threw my $315 at it, very curious to see how it all works. I will say Carplay has been buggy as hell in my Bronco lately, will be interesting to see if it's my phone or stupid Ford. It's tiiiiiime!!!
