Rattling sound around the cargo area

Title says it all. I’ve done a ton of research, QA, and service visits that have included latch replacements and trim/clip repairs and replacements but still haven’t been able to isolate this rattle that I’ve had since delivery. It's the only thing left, and it's driving me insane, haha. Any thoughts from the group?

I had a very similar sound. Took it in and they determined that the inside of the tailgate had a bad weld during manufacturing. They ordered a completely new one, which required painting to my color at the body shop.

Hopefully that isn’t it for us. Was the rattle more intermittent? Ours seems to be conditional on temp. More present below 70ish.

mine was consistent over rough roads but listening again it wasn’t constant staccato like this - it sounded like a license plate vibrating against the back. So it might be the infamous seatbelt rattle that I fixed the other day for the driver.

That sounds like a metal that contracts in lower temps... Like a welded area...

So I stumbled on this guide, with videos of BSR examples (Buzz, Squeak, Rattle). My Doug was not a fan of the squeak example lol.

This is, by far, my favorite Rivian gif of all time. They definitely used AI to make this.

Not yet. I'm trying to schedule a mobile visit because the service center is far away. And I haven't been able to isolate this on my own yet. The problem is that it seems to be intermittent, and I haven't been able to pinpoint the exact requirements to make it happen. It does seem like a loose screw or something, though - sometimes I'll hear almost a crack when taking a turn, and then the rattle will start, kind of like a screw or something that backs out slightly b/c of the pressure of the turn.

Lately I've just been turning the music up when I start hearing it... ha. Would love to hear if you end up figuring it out though.
