Did I miss the warranty period forV1.5
truck was delivered in Canada in May 24 power cover was installed in aug 2024

stopped working numerous times but if wet works or right after I dry lube it works for a few days

my PTC has been acting up for a while now. a month or so ago i finally submitted for a warranty issue. they said that it couldnt be scheduled until october because of parts availability. fingers crossed they were just waiting for these V2 parts.

Tonneau would be covered under your comprehensive warranty, so as long as you are under the the allowable km's for your trim, then it would still be covered.

I have a 2023 177** VIN, not configured with tonneau (because I was told this would be a later option once they'd figured things out).

I called and was told my VIN wasn't compatible, then armed with the information on this thread I called again and asked explicitly about the Mannual Tonneau cover make-nice discount (the 50% mentioned earlier) and front-loading the harness replacement. They said they'd give me a call back but instead I got an email re-directing me to call service support (who I had called initially, and I think was who I called the second time — how many different entry points into support at Rivian are there?).

For whoever mentioned the 50% discount, which entity gave you that exactly? Was it only after you escalated? Do you remember what path you took and who handled the escalation?

Like most of you, I've been waiting a couple of years for the PTC, and I'm disappointed to hear from Rivian Service that my R1T is not eligible. I took delivery of my R1T in late March of 2023, with VIN in the 199XX.

My original configuration did include the PTC and was removed a few weeks before delivery. I was also offered the MTC last year, but declined and decided to wait on the PTC retrofit.

This truly does feel like a disservice from Rivian; for me, the PTC was a big selling point. And, at each service appointment, they mentioned that they were working towards a solution.

I'm hoping that Rivian misspoke on this issue. I will let it simmer for a few weeks and call back to see if they have more clarity on the issue.

I am at the Rivian Service center this morning and got more clarification about the V2 covers and beyond. The initial covers are those due for the upgrade/replaelcement or related. During my scheduled maintenance, I request a closer look at my truck and they confirmed that my build can accept the necessary equipment for the V2 cover to be installed. I was also informed that Rivian will release information to clarify the who, what, why and where on this stuff due to the overwhelming interest in the cover.

In closing, I will quote Nighthawk from Avengers Endgame, "No, don't, don't give me hope" lol

LOL, exactly! Don't give me hope, my wallet will dislike you.

I think that is a better approach. I may just swing by the Rivian Service Center and have them inspect the truck.

LOL, my wife made me a counteroffer. Pay me the $3300+ dollars and I will manually remove and reinstall it herself upon request rofl!

Well, this seems like another one of the situations where it depends on the SC. Kinda like, they may or may not work on a vehicle with boards, sliders. And I still think they need to be consistent across all SCs.

I am supposed to have the new PTC installed. I requested it after I dropped off my T for some work and saw it was available. I did not have the PTC on my original order.

Rivian stopped selling the PTC in November 22. Mine was one of the last trucks built with it and took delivery day before Thanksgiving 2022. Tonneau cover was locked open and stayed that way for a year and suddenly was unlocked after some update. Then Rivian updated it to 1.5. been working so far.

I just called as I need to go in for service for other things and was told YES!

VIN is 215xx
Powered tonneau was not ordered, and never did manual option, but have bed rails.
No Meridian Sound
No frunk 12v
No under dash 12v
