Signed up for the actual plans. It should be like opting in to have immediate access to every software push.
maybe after the 2 month trial it will be. Like someone said above......we are all on the priority list. After the 2 mont trial, we probably won't be getting the CONNECT+ package.....don't know though.

no no, he's Connect+ PLUS you see. he's paying money earlier than the rest of us for the same thing, he should go first!!
I'm just asking to be on the same level as all the other people that got the update yesterday :p

I drove a non-Rivian vehicle today in protest.

I have not been at all anxious to get the Rivian OTA updates. Caution being the better part of valor, I have always waited a week or two before downloading the latest update. I have always been concerned that there could be some serious glitches in the update. I prefer to read the reactions of the early birds to insure all is well before allowing our dear Opal to receive the new update.

I think they prioritize people who have open software issues from prior updates. I never got the updates day 1 or even 2-3 hrs in until this last one. I always got it 3 days later. Happens to be I had a software issue from last update. Priority should always be given to people affected with bugs in prior code.

I've only had this occur when there was a minor update that was only for my vehicle and vehicles like mine with a specific hardware revision. Otherwise I'm typically waiting a few days to a few weeks (though it does seem like Rivian has generally tightened that window over time) I think maybe one time I had one vehicle in the first wave of general updates.

Can anyone explain the software numbering system? I don’t have an update notice and am on 2024.27.30. Why does it skip to 2024.31? What happened to 2024.28 and 2024.29?

That number is the week. They are on a 4-week release cadence.

What does the software version number mean?
  • Take for example the update 2022.27.02. What do these numbers mean? Let’s break this down:
    • 2022 is the year the update was developed in
    • 27 is the week the update was created so in this case the update was created on the week of July 19th
    • 02 is the revision of the update so in this case, this is the 2nd revision of 2022.27
  • The typical pattern that we’ve determined is that Rivian releases an update every 4 weeks (give or take a week). Updates are also usually tested for about a month internally before being released to the public.

This can't come soon enough if it fixes the Apple Music bugs. For whatever reason, mine is essentially unusable today with freezes and unresponsiveness. I even rebooted the display and that did nothing.

Mine always stops when transitioning from home wifi to 4g. And then randomly too. Also needs reset to get playlists to synch. And the occasional channel drop.

Just like the last 3 updates; I triggered remotely my car to wakeup 2-3 times and saw the data transfers start and now have the update. Very interesting how I guess the car on it's own only checks for updates / wakes it self up a few times a day.. doing it manually seems to perhaps speed it up.
