After a long wait, I am finally configuring my R1S. I am coming from two Teslas (we are an all electric family and can't imagine going back to ICE cars), and we are super excited about the R1S. We test drove an R1S a few months back and we are excited for all the improvements since then (such as the software update for the suspension, gauge view, etc.). I have tried to be on top of all Rivian news, but it looks like there are many on this forum who are more knowledgeable about all things Rivian. So I wanted to see if there were any reasons to delay delivery for an R1S. I am guessing that mine will show up sometime in March 2024. But I remember reading that there was going to be a factory shutdown in spring/summer of 2024 for upgrades/updates. Also, in 2025 with NACS being incorporated, I wanted to see if anyone recommends waiting for that (that's another loooong wait). A lot of hypotheticals and coming from a Tesla I am used to unannounced changes (good or bad). Since many already own their Rivians, would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks a bunch.
