Don't worry though, not compatible with snow plows.

A place where over 90% of my DCFC has happened this summerwhat's a RAN?
Some waypoint chargers are not free, but waypoint isn't RAN.Pretty sure I was charged last week when using it. I was emailed a receipt but I haven't checked my CC to see if it posted.
You know what, that's exactly case. These weren't fast chargers either. Just the standard Rivian home chargers basically.Some waypoint chargers are not free, but waypoint isn't RAN.
Which station did you stop at?
I just charged last week at 2 different RAN chargers and was 100% free. Our Guide told us when we picked up our R1T in May that the FREE charging ended on April 30th....so far it is FREE. I am taking advantage of it when we can. I am hoping they open the one in Interstate 5 in California in Santa Nella and Buttonwillow before we head down in September.Hi All,
As most of you know, the RAN (Rivian Adventure Network) was supposed to become a pay-to-use network starting in April/May. We're almost to August and it's still free (thank god).
I have asked Rivian if/when they plan on changing this, and they stated they haven't heard anything about it.
Does anyone else have an actual answer to this question?
I am praying they adopt Tesla's policy where the first owners were able to get lifetime charging for free and later buyers would have to pay.
RAN = Rivian Adventure Networkwhat's a RAN?
As long as RAN's are free and I have access to them I will use them. Once they go to "pay", I hope they keep it low $$ per kW for Rivian owners. I pulled up to a RAN charger that had 8 RAN stations and our of the 4 being used, I was the only Rivian charging, the other 3 where Teslas which I found ODD because in the Sacramento area, there are tons of Tesla chargers.....LOLNot too concerned about this. They have to make owners pay and I expect it will be similar pricing to Tesla. No one gets free supercharging any longer (except the limited referral promotions) and if you do, it's because your Tesla is super old.
As others have said, there are so few RAN chargers, particularly in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, that I am more likely to use a Tesla supercharger in 2024 with a "NACS" adapter for my Rivian than a RAN one. Not sure why they aren't building a lot more on the I-95 corridor.
So the Tesla's were blocking the RAN stations or they were using the L2 stations?As long as RAN's are free and I have access to them I will use them. They weren't blocking the stations.....they backed it to get to their charger port.So the Tesla's were blocking the RAN stations or they were using the L2 stations?
I thought the RAN stations were Rivian only right now? At the Salida, CO RAN there were 4 DCFC and 4 L2 chargers. Any EV could use the 4 L2 (waypoint) chargers, only Rivians could use the RAN DCFC chargers.They weren't blocking the stations.....they backed it to get to their charger port.
They are supposed to be, but I think Rivian might have some of them open intentionally anyway.I thought the RAN stations were Rivian only right now? To be honest, I can't remember if they were the waypoints or the RAN's. I just know they were RIVIAN branded. They definitely had a few L2's thereI thought the RAN stations were Rivian only right now? At the Salida, CO RAN there were 4 DCFC and 4 L2 chargers.
