Not a chance.I am praying they adopt Tesla's policy where the first owners were able to get lifetime charging for free and later buyers would have to pay.
Tesla purposefully advertised free unlimited charging as a selling point of the vehicles - up until they removed that perk.
Rivian has *NEVER* said it would always be free. They have always said it would cost money eventually.
Free unlimited, wether forever or just a set period of time, leads to *TERRIBLE* charger etiquette. The number of ID.4s who sit at Electrify America stations all the way to 100% (or long after at stations with no idle fee) is ridiculous.
Personally, I like the "free 30 minute session every two hours for the first year of ownership." A time limit per session/day ensures people don't just sit at them forever (I like requiring a "cool down period" too, otherwise you can just unplug and replug,) and having it be a perk of early ownership, not a permanent thing. Get first-time-EV-owners used to the idea of plug in for a short time and leave, but don't "waste money" by making it forever.
