Charging connector installed outside - how to keep your power secure?

I was pretty much sold on the Tesla connector for the outside of my garage - BUT - then I read where it is always on. It cannot be restricted by VIN for NON-Tesla vehicles. While I think it unlikely that anyone would pull into my drievway for a charge while I am away, crazier things have happened.
So, my questions are;
Am I right about the Tesla connector? (I'd like to use that one because I have Tesla power at home, and have the app already)
If so, are there any L2 connectors that provide some sort of power security?
Any insights are appreciated!

1. Don't worry about it. No one is parking in your driveway to charge their car for hours.
2. No home charger that I'm aware of has that capability anyways.
3. Add the wall connector to the Tesla app. You can see when it is in use and shut it off if you wanted.
4. Get a camera and face it towards your charger.
5. Turn the breaker off in the panel box when not in use.

Wallbox Pulsar Plus can be configured to use app authentication to start a charge. Unless you are in a VERY crowded area, I don't think that anyone will pull up and plug in. As suggested, put in a camera, but I wouldn't toggle the breaker on and off to secure the charger.

2. Researching, but it looks like Emporia does. I'm surprised they don't all have some method.
3. You can turn off the Tesla connector remotely? Does the app notify you when it is being used?

4. I've had cameras around the outside of my house for years. They record, but don't prevent.
5. Seems clunky, but of course that is always an option.

The only thing I see with my Universal is that I can restrict charging to a schedule. So you could set it to only charge during hours that you are home

I mean, who cares? They would only be able to steal like $15 of electricity. But like no one is going to do this. It's insane. Don't worry about it. The thing you should worry about is someone stealing the whole unit or the wires.

Does the app notify you when it is being used? Can you turn it off via the app?

My Tesla Universal doesn't notfify me when someone plugs in.

You could change the charge schedule via the app to restrict charging during hours that you're not there. I suppose you could check your cameras and if someone plugged in, then you could set it to restrict charging. I've never done it though since mine are in my garage.
