I’ve had my FG/FE R1S for a month and love it. Saw a friend’s FG/BM a while back and it just felt dark, especially the wood. I love the lighter wood. I had a loaner last week that was black with BM and I was thrilled to get back in mine, felt lighter and more upscale.
Yes, I found the BM interior to be cave-like (and I'm a black interior kinda guy). RB/BM was my original color combo, but fortunately they had both RB/BM and FG/FE R1Ts at the Venice hub when they opened. The moment I saw FG/FE I was in ? ... switched my R1S reservation right when I got home. Fortunately, when my time came up to pick from the R1 Shop, they had my EXACT config available. Glad I made the choice.

One reason I didn't get Canyon Red was that I wanted the lighter wood but the only way to get it was Forest Edge, and I wasn't sure how the FE green would go with the red exterior. Now it sounds like they no longer let you order FE with CR, even if you wanted it...

just to provide a little contrast. i have OC and its not white, its a light grey. it has held up extremely well to stains/dirt. granted its only 6mo and 6k miles but ive only had to wipe it down a few times with a mild cleanser. my second choice would have been FE because of the color of the wood. but in OC the dark ash wood does provide a nice contrast to the light grey. BM is too monochrome imo. im sure it'll hide stains the best but it likely gets the hottest as well.

Absolutely love mine. With the warm ash wood, it is definitely a relaxing and calming color combo.

I've had Forest Green / Forest Edge for a year now. Absolutely no regrets, love it, totally worth it.

I spend a lot of time up in the PNW, and I feel like FG/FE matches very nicely with the Douglas firs. :)

Looks like you have all the justification you need. Just know you can’t really go wrong. I was dead set on FE from the get go but couldn’t get my better half over the hump. Ended up with the black interior and it has really grown on me. No regrets and I don’t find the heat to be an issue at all, but do have mine garaged for the most part. Good luck!

Any regrets? I am trying to justify the extra $2000
To add to that any folks with El Cap Granite and the FE interior? I am just a reservation hold right now on R1S from early 2021 and I love both the EL Cap and the FE individually but I am wondering if they will look good together?

Safe to say, cooler than black but stays cleaner than ocean coast?
I have Ocean Coast, almost 11k miles, delivered in November. No regrets. I have not noticed any dirt or marks on the seat. Keeping it clean doesn’t seem to be a concern, I haven’t done anything. I generally prefer lighter colors on an interior. But I also don’t have kids or dogs. I probably would’ve preferred Forest Edge, but not for $2k. Part of the reason I liked Forest Edge was, no one else really has a green interior option, most are black/white/gray/tan/brown/maybe a sporty red. I was willing to pay to pay for an exterior or interior color change, not both.

LA Silver with FE, originally ordered a Forest Green with FE interior but the Silver and FE contrast was great. No Regrets!!! Black is boring and OC would leave marks as I learned that with the Tesla, Blue jeans, and other darker colors tend to leave marks...

Cannot comment on this combo but I am always surprised by the love of limestone/FE. I would think that ECG/FE will be great together. Based on the FE owners’ reactions, you cannot go wrong with FE.

black, el cap, LG, and FG are all the best exteriors to go with forest edge, IMO.

I still wish I got it but *very* happy with black mountain and how early I was able to get my truck because of it.

Yes I have a white seats in Tesla and while markers or pens are bad overall it’s not bad. The stitching gets dark from regular use and then if you have boys with baseball or dirt it gets bad quickly so far no problem like that with forest edge.

I've had OC interior since Jan.. so 8 months in and it's very easy to keep clean! I also had the white interior in my Model Y (and my daughter has it on her 2021 Model 3) and that is very easy to keep clean as well. The new materials they use don't get dirty easily, and if they do... it's easy to clean.

Do not fear "the white" ?

I just picked up an El Cap R1T with Forest Edge interior a few weeks ago. I think it's a great color combo. The FE interior picks up the subtle green in the El Cap exterior so they work really well together. Of course I'm more than a bit biased. The other color combo I was considering was LA Silver with black interior, but that's what I have on my Defender so I needed a change.
