Honk to record dash cam not working

Anyone seeing issues with the honk to record dash cam? The functionality worked for a few days worked for a few days and was a nice way to record events has they occurred, but it suddenly stop working, checked the setting and unplugged and replugged the drive no change.

You have to hold the horn for atleast half a second for it to trigger, when I was testing this out it felt really inconsistent until I started holding for what felt like way too long (but really wasn't more than about half a second).

If it still doesn't trigger after that, then maybe consider doing a reboot, not sure if the dashcam/gear guard system runs on the infotainment and can be fixed with soft reboot (Left most button and right most button on steering wheel until it reboots) or is a lower level item and would require a hard reboot (left most button on steering wheel and hazards).

You could always just trigger it with the button on the center screen, which is always there.

I don't honk very often, this was just mainly what I discovered when the feature was released and I was testing it out. I would be more likely to reach for the record event button than to honk.

That was it.. thanks. Just need to hold down the horn a fraction longer

There are two ways to trigger the recording, you can press the button on the screen, or you can hold the horn for half a second, which feels like a super short duration, but I find that I push the horn for a split second, which isn't long enough to trigger, and it sounds like (pun not intended) Oxbow had the same experience.
