My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
95% @ 11k miles.

I suspect they come out of the factory under 100 …

Also, just got back from about 150 miles of driving. Gauge reads 24%. RiDE says 29% and change. So there’s a 5% buffer hiding in there at lower SOCs, I guess.

Cool data. And like others have said, please don’t open a ticket based on what you see here.

Yep agreed. I bet no one had >97% out of the factory. Mid-90s seems reasonable. Interesting you show a 5% buffer, my SOC buffer was only 3.3%.

SOH (State of Health) is an imperfect metric and I would absolutely take it with a grain of salt.

I have seen massive variation between how different battery vendors implement their state of health algorithms on their BMS.

The only "real" way to know the SOH is to do a complete 100% to 0% discharge and measure the energy output--In practice, this is not something that should happen very frequently. So the BMS attempts to calculate the variation in energy storage capacity based on smaller charging / discharging sessions and the results can vary drastically.

FWIW, my SOH is 96% at 30 miles and I beat the shit out the pack, charge it to 100% at least a few times a month and have probably DCFC-ed about 100 times. So those of you with SOH in the low 90s, you are fine. Worry in the event that you are seeing substantial drops in range without changing your driving behavior / taking into account ambient conditions.

I totally agree here. There is nothing to tell you what it actually started at, last time the code was shared I did not have my R1S yet to get a base level. Now that I know it is at 94% at 11.5k if the code is shared in the future I can see where it is.

God speed.
Way to go. It's posts like these that ruin it for everyone. They changed the code last time because several did exactly this. I can guarantee you that they'll change it up in the next update or two. You win the stupid post award for today from me. I know that doesn't mean much, but I'm sure there are others that feel the same way.

Is anyone else seeing "red" items under the diagnostics section?
I have 2 red, do not remember what they were, first 2 on the screen but not the same as yours.

Since I have no clue what it means and vehicle is fine I’m not worrying about it. When I saw it, one of them seemed like a module that failed last February during an OTA that was replaced, for all I know something may not have been cleared from that.

So what's the secret way to get the code next time after they change it? It is good info to be able to see it, but after the last time, this is the first I have had access again.

My guess is take a tech to dinner….

Edit, My second guess is in a soon to be OTA this becomes a variable value that checks into the mother ship for validation and gets frequently changed.

Hope they didn't change it to six characters because brute force took a while

You should feel fine. I believe this is more a function of age than anything. FWIW, 94% @ ~15k miles. Been absolutely babied, but it's been in service since March of '22...
