Only able to program 8 garage doors

Anyone else have this problem? It's a work truck so I take it to multiple customers houses and was excited to be able to program all door openers instead of keeping a bunch of clickers around. I've programmed 8 and when I go to add more it says I've hit my limit. Have tried hard reset.

I see three solutions to your problem:

1. Buy another Rivian
2. Have less customers
3. Buy a label maker for the multiple clickers

Joking aside, I agree with you that they should have a higher limit for the number of garage doors that can be opened. After all, Rivian has royal customers like @Count Orlok with many large garages.

8 is the limit. I'd guess it's a hardware limitation, but I don't know that for sure.

My guess is you have a G2 vehicle. In the G1 manual it says 16 but in the G2 manuals it says 8.

You need the quad. Four for each motor.

I have 10 garages nested within each other so as long as I make it past door 7 I’m probably ok.

I have 1 garage door with a 30 year old Genni opener. I can't get it to work with my R1T.

I guess I still have 16 other doors I potentially could open.

The sun visors can hold about 5 remotes each... bam!! 18 doors
