RAN Opening in Astoria, Oregon

Just drove by the new charging location in Astoria, Oregon right by the bridge. Spoke to the tech and they are completing the final installation. Should be open in the next few days.

Funny, I literally googled trying to find some info about the Astoria location about 20 minutes ago. I’m so looking forward to this location. We drive from the Seattle area to Cannon beach at least once per month, and this location would be a godsend to us!

Interesting choice, this is super close to a reliable EA station in Warrenton, OR that we always hit when heading down the coast. With the recent RAN price increases, I don’t think I’d choose this over EA.

True, but experience has taught me to always have a backup plan when dealing with EA, or put differently, always have a plan A, and then think about EA

Cool coastal climate with steady weather, little snow, and little heat. Mix that with a local population of fishermen, lumber industry, and military, you've got yourself some pretty stress-free stations.

Always enjoyed visiting my aunt and uncle in Astoria, because we could walk to the Free Willy house and pass the Kindergarten Cop school on the way! (Don’t fact-check my geography, it’s been like 30 years since I’ve been there…)

My wife and I love Astoria and Cannon Beach. We did a road trip from Minneapolis to Cannon Beach, and lived at a house on the beach for a week in 2022 when we got engaged. I've been there about 3 times now and I think we're going to plan on building a house in Cannon Beach for retirement some day. Such a beautiful area.

Also, if you're ever using this RAN in Astoria, do yourself a favor and go up the hill to Fort George Brewing. One of the best.
