Rivian App updated version released for iOS and Android

Love the widget. Hopefully an app or widget for the Apple Watch gets added soon.

It would be nice if we could add the widget to the Lock Screen.

Nice update!
Now if they could simplify switching between two cars. I have a T and an S and having to scroll all the way up and hit menu to switch between cars is annoying. Would be super slick if I could have one widget for each car!

When I press-and-hold the widget, it brings up a screen with an option to "Edit Widget" - when I click through to this, it prompts me to choose a vehicle, but I only have one ?. Maybe you'll see something different?

I would never want that on the lock screen. But the next best thing for you is to put it on the widget/Today view screen (swipe right from Home or Lock screen).

I don't know if it's just me, but I was shocked after installing the widget (iOS 17 / iPhone 13) yesterday at how responsive - bordering on instantaneous - my R1S locked and unlocked when tapping the appropriate button on the widget. I woke up this morning and tested out again - instantaneous. And I've NEVER had that happen before. I then tested it out on the app, and it was still quicker than it was before, but not completely instantaneous.

I was just playing with the new widget and thinking to myself how much more quickly the truck registered commands like climate activation and such. Before it could take 30 seconds to register the climate was indeed turned on. Small sample size at this point but but hopefully some improvements were made here.

Just tap in the app and the open Shoukd change to update. At least it did for me.

I had to force my app update this morning. Go to App Store, click your profile and then update the Rivian app. Make sure your iOS is 17.3.1, too. I had to also update that.

2. + in the upper left-hand corner.
3. Search Widgets for Rivian (none found)
   Scroll through the list for Rivian (not there)

The app is updated. It says Widgets in the description.

Very cool, but could Rivian allow us to edit/disable some buttons on the widget? I'm paranoid about accidentally opening the tailgate and have it crash against a closed garage door.

App Store. Search for Rivian. Tap on the Rivian app that shows (do not hip open). Version number is under “what’s new”

Seriously though, I didn't do anything special to make the widget appear. It just randomly showed up with I looked again one time. ?‍
