Android Automotive is used for Rivian infotainment, so maybe that’s the angle?

To some people Wassym Bensaid implied in the way he "didn't answer" a question directly, that map data would be changing to Google. Who knows if that is accurate or what the display might look like even if assumptions were accurate.

Over the weekend, the map navigation was not Google. I run them side by side when going between the Bay and Tahoe. However, they weren't that far off in the estimates. ~2-3 mins off on segments over 1hr

The POIs are Google now. They've publicly stated that more would be transitioning.

But I/O is a developer conference. I can't fathom Google showcasing an OEM using Android Automotive without Google Automotive Services (GAS). They would have a GM or other vehicle that does embrace GAS.

Yeah, Google not in production at present. The vehicle shown however, might not be running production software. Or this all might be "nothing".

Google maps and voice assistant would be extremely ideal as a native set of apps. I'd take AA, too.
