Show off your dashcam memory card install

Bought the 90 angle, Anker reader, and 256 gb Samsung microsd because it was recommended by so many and did not realize it was no longer working for some. I favored using a quality endurance microsd because it has lower power use compared to an external ssd and I didnt want anything to increase vampire drain.

I troubleshooted each component on my laptop and they all work perfectly but not recognized in my R1T. Has anybody found a solution? This combo seemed to stop working several months ago after the .39 update.

^ I'd try a regular USB 3.X flash drive in your vehicle to make sure your dashcam software and USB ports are working correctly. Unless of course you've already tried that

Seems like the 2025+ trucks are more picky. The flash drive that worked in my 22 wouldn't work in the 25, neither will the SD card and reader recommend here. Finally gave up and bought the Samsung T7 SSD. Works perfectly now.

I had the samsung pro endurance + Anker adapter + right angle adapter setup, but last Oct it stopped working. Today I had Rivian mobile service take a look and the service guy concluded that the SD card wasn't connecting anymore (even though the setup is usable when I connected it to my laptop). He tried his own SSD drive on my R1S and it worked. Ordered the same SSD drive and now all is well.

On the bright side, as part of this mobile service, Rivian also swapped out my 12v battery pre-emptively without me even asking for it.

This inexpensive ONN 500gb drive works perfect in our Gen2 R1S. Comes with a case and both USB-A to USB-C and USB-C to USB-C cables. Paid $59.99 at WallWort.

Found out that my Anker angled reader + Samsung 256GB is also no longer recognized in my R1T. Appears to have been down some weeks. Not sure if that was from having the vehicle serviced or a subsequent software update.
(Feel bad as I'm one of the people who reported this as a working solution.)

Similar to others. All components check out fine on my laptop and Android phone. Rivian just doesn't like it anymore.

Tried an alternative card reader and the Rivian liked that but failed on speed test.

Looks like going to the 2TB T7 is the thing to do. Frustrating inconsistency.

Did anyone ever find a Rivian posted speed requirement? I had the above Pro Endurance which also fails the speed tests now.
Frustrating they changed the required specs without saying what they are in the failed speed test pop up. "Failed, yours is X, you need Y" would have been very helpful. Or let us downgrade the video or turn off a camera angle or something to cope with our existing setup.

My Anker/ Micro SD Card setup has been completely random for awhile now. The only consistency I've found is that it doesn't work whenever I want to actually see something
I like the small size of the setup and would prefer not to go to a full blown SSD. Anyone figure out a SPECIFIC card that works with the Anker angle adapter? Not just a brand?
