Tail lights keep blinking

Small note - mine started earlier than 7/16. It was at the airport and I noticed it was losing range quickly several days ago.

My service centre just called and said Rivian will be pushing firmware update soon. Issue has to do with cloud sync.

I wonder if an SSL certificate expired and started all this

Allright, I did a quick sweep on this thread and made a list...
Am I wrong to see that all vehicles affected are GEN1 vehicles? Is anybody's a Gen2?

25 individuals affected (so far) in this forum, I'll sweep Facebook in a little bit (I made a post over there to gather names/locations)

i've seen blinking rivians while out shopping yesterday as well. there's tons out there

My SC had been responding through the app but they've gone silent. Either they're overwhelmed, they just don't have an answer, or their Rivian's combusted with them in it. (haha, joking, but not really)

Same. They have stopped responding to my questions about what the plan is for when I bring it in. Being 3hrs away from the SC, I kind of need to know what the plan is as it takes an entire day to get there and back.

Longtime lurker here, just registered an account to add my name to the list. Gen 1 R1S showing the lights flashing as well. No 12V issue so far, but my energy usage (without any driving) for the last 24 hours was 6.1 kwh! Cabin is a bit warm but not what others are seeing. I've also noticed that the charge port light doesn't shut down either.

EDIT: Service center messaged and said it was a software issue. No further communications from them.

I received a text from my SC stating that Rivian is ON it and would be sending out an over the air fix - hopefully very soon.

That's kind of what I was wondering.

My guess is something isn't going to sleep on command and is waking the vehicle back up. A module rejecting a command would seem to be authentication/encryption related. But I'm not sure how it could do that and not throw obvious codes.

None of my vehicles have done this yet but I had to wait at least a week before they got some of the previous updates.

The funny thing is that an upstream SSL CA certificate from one of my home-lab servers on Monday (same day this issue popped up in my R1T.
