You're about to get rekt my friend, i'm also in CO
Ha! Same...in CO and they told me I'm on the list for Oct as well. I know they are still trying to pull it all together and will get to me eventually. It may be slow for now but anything I've needed....they've come through. So for now...I'll grab a cold one...enjoy fall colors...and wait for that call around Christmas time :)

Well you have the right attitude about it, so thats good :) My saltiness is attributed to them pushing it back twice now on me and also I had plans to drive my R1T back to IL for Thanksgiving and without a cover it sorta jacks up all my plans. Oh well.... The only good news is that it SHOULD be the new V2 cover so hopefully that sets us up for success for years to come

I'd come at this from the angle of those who BOUGHT a truck and PAID for a cover they don't have should receive higher priority than those who simply WANT to BUY one from the shop and have it installed.

I'm really surprised someone hasn't taken Rivian to court for this tonneau cover fiasco...

Looks like it's not all sunshine and roses for the gear shop purchase on the new Tonneau. If your T wasn't outfitted to support from the factory...you won't be considered for now at least. Probably says a lot about parts availability and the number of replacements in the queue.

Well I BOUGHT a truck and PAID for it 2.5 years ago and I WANTED a powered tonneau then but it was removed from the configurator. I have been waiting since I ordered to have the option and I ordered it the same day it went up in the gear shop. My install date is in December and I’m totally happy with that.

The entitlement is just exhausting. Oh my god, Rivian SOLD someone a supercharger adapter before they sent all 50,000+ free adapters to early buyers that never expected to get a free adapter in the first place! The humanity!

Mine has worked, but made a clicking noise while closing after the SC visit for unrelated items. It was open by a quarter inch and was showing as open in the app. I assume that the SC tested it and it didn't fully close.

Now I am wondering if I should try it or wait till I really need it/next summer. I have 2 more years on warranty.

Mobile install? I thought putting in the tonneau was a major operation. When mine was put on at the SC it took weeks and I understood they had to dismantle a lot of the bed.
All depends on the capability of the local mobile tech team I think. Rivian reached out to ours here to verify they were comfortable doing it via mobile before scheduling the appointment.

Broke on July 4th, Scheduled me out until October 1st to have it replaced, pushed me out again until Mid December.
Early adopters waited TWO YEARS for repairs. Just some perspective.

They must be more confident in this latest design or they wouldn't have put it in the Gear Shop...that or they still haven't learned their lesson🤷‍♂️

Idk, tonneau is Rivian's kryptonite.

When I got my 2023, they had recently removed all PTCs and left the rails on and said we could order at a later date. I went with a Lomax cover, had it delivered and installed within 2 weeks of delivery, and have been using it daily since. So glad I bypassed the PTC drama and frustration on that one...

You still have time to delete this and not jinx yourself. My VIN is < 500 and it just broke in July... Go knock on some wood or something asap!
