I tried to cast Netflix from my iPhone and it didn’t find the truck under devices. I haven’t read through all 7 pages but it should be working, right?
No. Read the release notes.

Netflix doesn’t want to play nice (yet).

Can't get casting/youtube to work. The Video UI has been stuck on this screen for nearly 5 days now:

Rivian R1T R1S Video: Google Cast in action (from new Rivian update) Fi1ffmF

Called Rivian support, tried the infotainment reset, hard reset, and soft-reset they recommended, but no go. Looks like I'll need to bring it in to service (appt 1 month out).

Has anyone been able to force a token refresh or whatever is needed to get past this screen?

The lack of Netflix is a real downer. A native Netflix app would be wonderful!

A use case is watching something while waiting for curb side pickup, or a spouse is in the store shopping.
Yep. Wife was shopping this afternoon and didn't want to drive with all the mall traffic. I flipped between the NCAA Volleyball championship and the (now) 13-2 Minnesota Vikings game. It was great!

It’s the 2% number that hangs me up. Feature requires connect+, $14.95 a month. And for me it’s less that 2%.

you state some good points.
I doubt most folks would pay $14.95/month for just this. But if you are already paying for it to get streaming audio, satellite maps, etc. Being able to watch a movie while charging is a nice bonus and no extra charge if you already subscribe to connect+

I sincerely hope that number is wrong. If it is correct, then holy hell we need to educate folks about charging. Very, very few cars take anywhere near that long to charge even 10-80%. My average charging stop in the Rivian, a relatively slow charging vehicle that's also inefficient, is probably 30 min and often less. Unless I'm towing I've basically never seen a charging stop take over 40 min. Modern 800V vehicles like Hyundai/Kia, Porsche, Lucid, etc are all pulling 15-18 min 10-80% charges...fast enough that the car is probably done before the car occupants have taken care of business. With few exceptions, if that's the average, then far, far too many people are charging to very high state of charge on DC chargers and clogging up the stations. Encouraging this bad behavior with in-car video isn't ideal.
Some Rivian owners are adventurous. Try doing the round trip from Williams Lake to Bella Coola, BC.
The best charger you are going to find is the 100kw charger at Anahim Lake. To almost 2 hours to charge to 95%. I wish I would have gone to 100% because I was below 5% when I got back.

I’ve also hit more than one 50kw charger in my travels. And generally they are in areas that aren’t dense with chargers. The averages do not only include the well maintained 200 kw+ chargers you favor. They also include 100kw, 50kw and even 25kw chargers. It also includes 150kw chargers that split power between two different stations or for other reasons get less than rated rates.

Can you mention where are you streaming from and how you got it to work?
Streaming from Max app.
When you’re setting up casting, you need to connect to the vehicle hotspot. Have you done that?

A coworker saw me watching Top Gun: Maverick and said if he had an extra brazillion dollars laying around he'd trade in his Sequoia so he could actually enjoy the 2 hours of supervised visitation his crackhead ex gets with their son at a park every week. Best case use I've heard, yet!
