Mine is at the SC right now for this depression. They say all glue is intact and everything is normal. I’m going to stuff some foam between the actual hood panel and the support structure to support that area.

So I took mine it for the "re-glue" and it worked... sort of. The spot where it use to depress is gone, but now another one slightly closer to the driver appears at a little of higher speeds around 70+ vs before it appeared around 60. Another service ticket in.

I was concerned I have this issue but it seems like it could also just be the way the sky, etc. is reflecting off the hood. My hood is so damn reflective when I put the visor down to block the sun it doesn't matter because it's just as bright reflecting off the hood into my eyes.

I had the issue, flutter and depression/ lifting around the logo. The hood flutter was adjusted, but the depression is still there. I’m not at all happy with the results. I’ve never had it on a car before this one. SC said they added foam. It really does need to be replaced under warranty IMO.

I am experiencing this also but the service center can’t duplicate the issue because they won’t driving over 70 miles an hour. What is happening is the hood is physically lifting and the latch area is where is the depression shows up. The faster you go the more the hood lifts, the larger the depression

Mine went in twice for the same issue, its gotten a little better, maybe i'm sensitive and think I can still "see" it but can't.

They won't drive over 70mph? Why is that, there are roads in the US where the limit is higher than 70 and thus their car should be able to adequately handle these conditions. Texas has a highway that is legal up to 85MPH..... I drove the technician in my car and he could see it around 70, but was really obvious when I went 85mph.

Mine flutters a bit but I've never seen it dent like that. I'm usually too busy getting a free hand massage from my steering wheel to care at highway speeds.

This is a bit of an old thread, but it is worth revisiting. I took my truck in for the hood depression and flutter problem. Long story short, the first time they tried to adjust and fill with foam/ epoxy to shore up. That didn’t work. The attached picture is of the hood after the first fix.

The replaced the hood with a redesigned hood and seal, and now I have a rock solid, no depression, no flutter hood!

This picture was taken on the way for service. It was about 1/3 what I would see in high wind. In that high wind it would look like someone was actually sitting on the hood.

No more - thoroughly happy with the replacement.

Here is a video of the fix.

Can you provide pics of the updated seal? My hood doesn't deform but it definitely flutters at highways speeds.

They replaced the entire hood? How'd the paint match? I just put in a ticket to have it "fixed" for a third time now. It's gotten a little better but I'm but happy with the depression still.

My hood has a flutter issue. I initially thought it was only during heavy crosswinds but I now believe it can happen regardless of this. There are no specific areas of depression, it just "lifts" and moves in a seemingly random way. Sort of like light reflecting off waves on a lake. I start to notice as low as 50MPH but definitely at 70. It's apparently subtle enough that it's difficult to reproduce on a phone video.

On my one SC visit hood alignment was on the ticket. The advisor said something about needing the hood mounted low enough to avoid flutter and he thought mine was o.k. and shouldn't have any flutter issues. My R1T loaner seemed to be better.

My wife drives Wranglers, which can have some flutter, but the hood itself mostly just moves upward in heavy winds as a unit, no "ripples". I've never noticed this on any other pickup, or any other car for that matter, even at much higher speeds.

Interesting. What is your vin range? I wonder when the newer version of the hood went into production.
