Rivian R1T R1S NEW - OpenSource EV Slim Stowable Cup Holder Expander IMG_1825.JPG

Hello my dudes!

Allow me to introduce the new OpenSourceEV Slim Stowable Cup Holder Expander. It's the easiest, most functional way to hold oversized beverages in your Rivian. It adapts the stock 3.2" cupholder to a 3.66" cupholder -- this fits common containers such as the Nalgene 32oz and 40oz, and the Hydro Flask 32oz and 40oz bottles.

There is a killer feature on this product that makes it better than any other option for our vehicles -- slimmed down sides. Because it's thoughtfully shaved down, it stores easily in a door pocket when not in use. (both in the front and rear doors) Additionally, it allows two of these to be positioned side by side in both the front and rear cupholders, and for bottles to be installed without deflection.

The two oversized supports hold bottles secure both left to right and front to back at angles nearing 90 degrees. These are constructed out of ASA for superior durability, UV resistance, and temperature handling of up to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

These are priced at $14.95 each, or $26.95 for a two-fer. They are available now in limited quantities. You can purchase it here: https://opensourceev.com/products/cup-holder-expander

The STL file so you can print one for yourself, at little to no cost, is available on our Printables.com page here: https://www.printables.com/@RobOpenSource_519281/models

A video is also in the works and will be posted here when complete. for now - here are a few more pictures:

Don't suppose you guys also offer a compressor sleeve? LOL I bought a Yee Pin center storage thing, and the twin cup holders are massive and won't hold onto anything close to normal sized if you have the audacity to turn your vehicle in something other than a straight line.

Depending on when you ordered, as early as today. I haven't looked at the backlog and stock. I opened up ordering to newsletter subscribers on Tuesday though, and I worked through that big backlog as of today. More are coming off the printer constantly, so likely this weekend at the latest.

LOL - negative, my dude. I will say one of the future items on the list is a magnetic cup holder for the center storage thing, and that might work better for you at some point? Likely fall.

Great timing. The days of my daughter's oversized water bottle crashing violently mid-drive will soon be over!!

Color me intrigued . . .

I'll probably be ordering 1 or 2 of these bottle holders at some point. Got to figure out some other things first so I can consolidate orders and shipping from you. :)

I'm still trying to work out the best solution for my wife's gigantic 46oz Yeti bottle. Best answer is probably a hook on the door handle!

Nice! Going to print in PLA to test how it works, then probably buy from you because I'm lazy and don't want to deal with ASA. :D

Just a heads up that PLA won't last particularly long. First time it gets hot, you'll be looking at wet noodle consistency. A really good PETG would likely go much further. ASA is the best if you can swing it without the cancer fumes it generates.

Yep, already know from printing your center console organizer. It lasted through the winter just fine. Then one day parking in the sun late spring, even with sun shades in, and it got droopy. This will be just to test before ordering.
