I tried the round tubes and didn't notice any improvement in the wind and whistling noises. The tube is a bit tight fit in a few locations, but once it gets passed the surface there is a lot more room. So not surprised that it didn't help and will be removing it. Going to try the windshield next. I have some concern about the 3M adhesive and potential damage if it doesn't help wind noise. Anyone tried and then removed?
Also recently tried tube all around the rooftop. No improvement; I tried both quarter inch and half inch depending on the width of the gap as it was different in different areas. I’ve tried windshield. No improvement. I’m thinking it’s the doors at this point. Is there a way to move the latch inboard slightly for the door to close more tightly? There’s plenty of seals already on the Rivian I just think maybe they aren’t being properly compressed.

I installed the seal around the doors and went for a test drive. Above 50 mph, the wind noise became worse. At 80 mph, wind noise was much louder than before. That was it - I took them off.
is that the "L shape" one? I tried the T shape for the roof about 3 months ago and not much improvment. Waiting for the L shape to arrive via Amazon. Took forever since it looks like it is coming from China .

No, it was a silicone D-shaped. The only silicone seal I could find. It’s a bit thicker than the oem door seal but the doors didn’t like it. Wind noise was worse because it didn’t seal around the doors uniformly. I’m done with these sealing stuff.

I kind of winged it - installed the L-shape ones in the gap between the windshield and A-pillar; T-shaped along the top windshield gap and the moonroof gap, as well as the shorter seams that run between the A-pillar and moonroof. have to say it has made a definite difference in every day driving and on the highway - at 75-80mph it seems much better. Haven't taken measurements and I may still tweak it a bit, but for those with some time on their hands I think it's worth the $50 in seals and a few minutes of your time.... good luck!

L shape finally arrived and I installed it but doesn't see much improvement. I think I also give up on this wind noise problem

I just did similar finally, and I have found a signifigant difference. I have taken photos, and will do my best to get them up shortly for anyone interested. I took what OP had written and what Smiller22 above wrote as well. I did a couple things differently, and now having driven 6 hrs in it, with plenty of wind in front and crosswind, I could actually now hear the motors working on the highway instead of all wind at 73 mph...volume of my music could now be at 16-18 instead of up near 21 or 22...used my apple watch as a dB indicator, and was at 62 and 64 decibles mostly at 72-76 mph, now the main noise is from the small window by side mirrors, and I installed a little L - shape there as well...again, I'll get photos up, just very pleased with the improvements. Thank you OP for the thread!

The small round tubular shape I inserted in the outermost seal along the top of the door on the outside of the top of door, see it inserted in the photos taken from the outside looking at the door.

The u-shape is added along inside of the top of the door from the front of the door until before it curves down at the back of the widow ( stand with door open and stand on inside looking at top of the door). I did not intall the U on the truck body, only the door as you hopefully can see. The door shuts well, but with it on the body it did not shut well and felt forced.

The T-shape along the front top of windshield and body. I did nothing more up there.

I ran the L-shape, with the L tucked under the A pillar and used a credit card sized plastic smudge? tool to work it into a little angle along the pillar on both sides, I did not use the adhesive as it wedged in easily.

I used a couple small pieces of the round tubing (not the best, just trying it out) to fill little gaps.

I didn't spend a ton of time, wanted to test it all out.

I will put pictures of what I did on the side windows by mirrors. Didn't take any yet.

All being written, I have found a really big difference. Low speeds are very very quiet now, even with the wind and crosswind, whereas before it was pretty ridiculously bad. Now at high speeds, certainly there are moments when the wind just whips, but even that is softer now, not the harsh whipping noises I was getting.

It is all much more diffused currently.

I'm not an expert. Just trying to quiet the cabin down, I drive a lot, far and many hours.

I appreciate OP's post, as it inspired my to get up and do something about it, and thanks to whom posted the amazon links for us in the States. I'll keep fidgeting now, subtlety, as I think I have it where I like it.

I just got my car a week ago and notice wind noise above 75mph. It seems to be the top of the windshield and/or the glass roof area. I have a service ticket to take it in in a few weeks. What should I tell the SC? Cheers.

I'm guessing they are going to say 75!?! Then they will say its within spec :/

You may have to tackle this yourself....

Mine does have a similar issue, and I had to bring mine (R1S) to the service center. They ordered the part and said to replace the whole rubber part on all four doors. I will update you guys later if the noise issue has been fixed or not. If

@Horseytime , how is your fix holding up? If you still notice improvement, could you please post links to the products you used, and where you used them? This thread has so many product links, I wasn't clear on which ones you used.
Thanks.
