Here is an experiment for ya.My one question is what speeds will the adapter support? I ask because the Magic Dock I tried maxed out at 150kw. On the RAN I've hit speeds above 200kw and this does allow a much quicker charge.
On a road trip I generally plug in at ~10 to 15% and charge to roughly 60%. A SuperCharger limited to 350A would been slower than everything but the last 5% of this charge.Here is an experiment for ya.

Whereas the R1 will peak at over 200kw, it cannot hold it for long, and it introduces more heat to the pack; resulting in a more drastic taper.
If an EA 150kw stand is open, I will usually opt for one of those before a 350kw, as I often experience faster overall charge times on the lower power unit. Part of this is the flakiness of some of the 350kw stands, but thermals also play into this equation.

I did do this on one of my long trips. Even through it doesn't hold above 200 for long it was still much faster on the RAN even though I pulled in with about 8% compared to 15% on the TeslaHere is an experiment for ya.

I can't handle the speed of charging with the stair step approach they have for the CV phase anyway. Charging at 80kw at 70% for a pack this size drives me nuts. A fun little comparison of how Lucid and Rivian manage the same cells. I'd *really* appreciate it if smoothed the curve out and did a true CV phase. That would makes sense. For some reason I thought Rivian signed on after Ford but before GM but I could be wrong.From my memory, ford and GM signed first within a week of each other. Hence getting first dibs. Rivian was about 2 weeks later and I think 3rd or 4th one to sign. And said early spring. So likely April which would give a good length of time for slow roll out

I used EA almost exclusively for a couple of Minnesota road trips from Colorado and I didn't have any issues. The only place I'd like to charge at a supercharger was near Duluth since there are only 50kw chargers in small towns north of there. So it probably depends on the road trips you are taking.Based on my experience using both EVgo and Electrify America for a short trip this last weekend, I wouldn't count on being able to avoid Tesla SCs.
The public charging experience is just so bad outside of the Tesla network. We got the correct charging curve advertised by both the vehicle and the charger one time out of the 4 stops. We had to move the car at least once at 3 of the locations and two out of the four were full when we got there.
Bad all around. So many frustrated owners at each stop.

I thought it was the most pro Tesla site there is. Fight was with Musk and and his Twitter . Tesla and it's customers should not have been affected.Just like cable companies and DirecTV removes providers during a dispute. Its no different.
