Saw this in a TeslaFI thread update. I subscribe to it so I get these.

Corrections:
  • (Rivian) The recent software updates list in the software tracker was not displaying the time correctly for installs past 24 hours.
  • (Rivian). The software detail link in the site header was incorrect.

I just signed up for this yesterday. Holy ***@#$ is this a lot of information. Nice!
Yes, I think it's great that they're developing this for the Rivian vehicles. I would really love to see something like Tesla mate ported over. Tesla mate has some awesome graphing features and you can self-host.

Lots of details in the TeslaFI and Tesla data feed areas assuming you have the same. You can edit the columns shown. Very handy for creating your own graphs to test something out.

Lot of graphs hidden behind things too like a charging entry. The legends often work like a toggle to turn things in the graph on and off.

I do wish self-hosting was possible, but I'm still enjoying the data for now. Just started paying for it this week after the trial ended and can't wait to see all the data from a road trip next week.

I signed up a week ago and with my car in the garage, no driven for days (>65 deg temp in garage), PAAK, Gear Guard disabled, not plugged into EVSE and fob far away, I am seeing that the vehicle sleeps for 2-2.5 hrs and wakes for 45min to an hour consistently. Is this what others are seeing? I’m losing ~3% battery a night. Pretty frustrating.

a) Were you losing 3% per night before Electrafi? ie. an existing "problem"
b) In TeslaFI, there are options to tweek to help in the Tesla's going to sleep but that may be a default in Electrafi. Maybe a a mute question if the problem existed [ie. a) above]

Yes. I was losing range before. I thought that Electrfi got its data from server side and wasn’t polling the vehicle causing it to wake

Logically, something has to talk to the car to get the details of the SOC and other data ... so "server side" is not clear as "it" would need to talk to the car as well. In TeslaFI's, case it could do some API to talk to the Tesla car without triggering the 'wake up' depending on the user settings. Other API options trigger the 'wake up'. Some phone apps even prompt you and ask you if you want to wake the car when you use the phone app.

AFAIK, both Electrfi and TeslaFI use the equivalent of the phone apps "API" to talk to the vehicles.

NOTE: in the past few months Tesla has added a more direct 3rd party API and TeslaFI is optionally letting the users do that option.

Thanks for sharing this. You should send this to Rivian and see what, if any, they can do. If enough owner do this...Who knows :like:

Yes, but I wanted to confirm that Electrifi was not exacerbating the issue… would be good to get feedback from other Electrifi users

Do you have a separate account on the vehicle for ElectraFi? I created an account and shared access specifically for ElectraFi purposes.

Are proximity and gear guard off at home?

Lastly, if you want to see if it's ElectraFi then one way is to remove it, give it a few days, and then see if the problem resolved.

Just checked my truck on Electrafi. I went for a drive yesterday and came back around 2:30pm and parked for the day. In garage, auto lock and gear guard off at home. Not plugged in.

Arrived home with 73.9% battery, and this morning at 9:20am, truck still shows 73.59% battery.

Stats for yesterday show 18 hours of sleep and 0.2% battery loss during that time (includes the sleep before my drive). That all looks great to me!

If you’re losing 3% overnight during sleep, something must be going wrong with your truck or something draining it unexpectedly.

Thank you for the feedback, this was the information I was looking for. Mine consistently sleeps for 2 hours and wakes for an hour when sitting in the garage
