Yeah, I understand that. I'm hoping the board will vote him out.I respect the counterpoint. Personally I can’t get past the Elon factor though. YMMV.

I'll have to be sure the Tesla Owners Club New York State (tocnys.org) shares info on charging etiquette with Tesla owners so they understand how to interact with non-Tesla owners at SCs so they don't come off as d***s.I understand why a lot of Tesla drivers park every other spot, but it doesn’t matter with v3 and v4 sites, and the etiquette should change to better accommodate all vehicle types.
And since I (lightly) poked the hornets nest, I figure that I should note that while I am not going to buy products from Elon (unless I’m desperate for some electrons), I’m not out to advocate a boycott or to judge folks who, for lots of different reasons, do buy from Elon.Yeah, I understand that. I'm hoping the board will vote him out.
IMO, any Tesla owners who have a problem with it should:Here's my understanding, but happy to hear other thoughts:
For V3 Superchargers, you typically park in the spot to the right of the spot the charger was intended for, otherwise the cord won't reach. Be prepared to politely defend your position against entitled and uninformed Tesla owners.
For V4 Superchargers, which have longer cords, you might be able to park in the intended spot, thereby avoiding dramatic showdowns.
Unless the board changes, they never will. Have a listen, for the why: Money, Drugs, Elon Musk and Tesla's BoardWSJhttps://www.wsj.com › podcasts › the-journal › money-...Yeah, I understand that. I'm hoping the board will vote him out.
They wouldn't vote him out anyway, the stock would take a huge hit.Unless the board changes, they never will. Have a listen, for the why: Money, Drugs, Elon Musk and Tesla's BoardWSJhttps://www.wsj.com › podcasts › the-journal › money-...
It's chummier than a college frat.
But he won't. Because he thinks he is limitless and can do it all and more. And of course he can. All he has to do is come up with brain farts. It's the people around him (and below them) that has to do the impossible and turn it into reality.Best case scenario he chooses a successor steps down as CEO and focuses on X, SpaceX, Nuerolink and whatever other shit he has going on.
I was able to pull along side this one, still got dirty looks when people pulled into the space I was not using. ?@ModelXer Most people will be completely reasonable and adjust. Some will be jerks. The jerks will be a mix of Tesla and non-Tesla drivers.
Those of us accustomed to using CCS chargers understand that different vehicles have different charge port locations, and that the pedestals perhaps can't be 100% utilized when a mix of different vehicles are charging. We have lived with this fact ever since we got our vehicles. We adapt and negotiate when we encounter this situation - "you go before me because I can't use that spot", or "can we swap spots so that I can charge? The cable at this spot in the wrong place for my car."The jerks will be a mix of Tesla and non-Tesla drivers.
There got to be a good successor. We're past the startup phase and need to move on to continuing operations with expansion of models for the future. Small CUV/SUV; expand Semi line to various size straight chassis; mid-size van/wagon for commercial/recreational uses; M3/Y (MX?) specialty vehicles (stripped down for municipal/first responder units). They wouldn't vote him out anyway, the stock would take a huge hit.

the average Tesla driver prob. On the other hand, Tesla drivers seem to consider a Tesla-branded supercharger as "theirs". They accuse you of "taking two spots", and they never seem to be able to see it from the opposite perspective - namely, a TESLA occupies two spots that RIVIANS could be using. (This is also true.) Tesla vehicles do not have exclusive rights to superchargers anymore - we're all on an equal footing.
Reminds me of that famous Orwell quote:
"All EVs are equal, but some EVs are more equal than others."
