From bad to worse, weeee

Some glitches started with the update that introduced Apple Music, mainly around proximity locking. Then the screen glitched once or twice.

Now after the latest update, it’s gone bonkers entirely. Basically doing a full vehicle reset every day. Service (mobile) scheduled for Wednesday, not sure what they think they can do…I know we aren’t the only one. ?

I did a full restart tonight and the center screen isn’t even coming back…going to let it sleep for a few hours and then see what’s up, but really cool.

I’m having a few issues since the update too! Kneel mode isn’t engaging anymore when you park. Auto height setting keeps coming back on after every park cycle, even though I switch it off.

I keep getting a notice every time I start saying I have new presets for the climate control wanting to know if I want to save them even though I haven't changed them. Getting very annoying.
The other day I was able to finally zoom out on the navigation and stay there. It only lasted for 1 drive then it stayed there but I had the recenter window at the bottom and the map wouldn't follow the vehicle location.

I’ll say it again: EVERY OTA software update should include a hard and soft reset guide at the end of the “What’s New” section, as they seem to be necessary after every one.

What sort of pre-release testing do you suppose they do on their own vehicles, to test the threshold of just how bad the reset issues will be?

Yea but it's worth $5B to VW and they can't even have the car shut off when you stop driving. Wtf?

what year is your rivian? i have a '22 and have only had one issue after an update. after the update my kept telling me the rear passenger window is always open. not true. i hope my luck holds!

Hard to know what THAT is gonna’ be all about. Only $1B committed so far, right?

I have these same issues, thanks for letting me know I'm not imagining things. New today is I HAVE to use the key card to get from Park to Drive. Only ever used my phone or the fob before.

This update messed things up for our truck too. None of the screens except the cameras would come up. A hard reset didn’t fix it. Two additional soft resets seemed to get most things back up and running. Apple Music wouldn’t populate any tabs except the Playlist tab. It eventually populated. I suspect that it just makes a call to the API every five minutes or so. It really should have a way to force a refresh. Either way this update was problematic for us.
