I am seeing so many trucks with a row of amber grill lights. I think that they look really good and are a safety addition. Has anyone installed these on a Rivian yet? If so, I would love to see the application.

They are mandated for vehicles over a certain width. I don't think the look works for Rivian, without significant mods. It's more Range Rover than Ford Raptor.

I saw a Taco just this weekend that had added these lights (and the lights were still on even though the vehicle was parked, off, and locked while the driver was off watching a little league baseball game). I think it just gives the vehicle a poseur "wanna be" feel - kind of like the BMW drivers that put an M badge on their base 3 series.

Technically, the Gen 2 should be able to have 3-4 segments of the front charging indicator light up amber if the driver wanted that apparency. Just a thought

That wouldn't offer the level of functionality of an amber led designed for fog and inclement weather. Grill lights like diode dynamics SS3 throw a ton of light out front which helps visibility immensely during fog, heavy rain, or snow.

I just like the way they look. I also think that any lights that are showing help you be seen. I'm thinking three in the front and three in the rear.

Most people want the look, not the function.

A forum member (skookumracing) was selling grill mounts and there was a thread with pics, but I think the thread's been deleted - maybe he's not selling them any more. Related thread: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/s00nish-selling-skookum-racing-light-mounts.27367/

You can also use this but it's not super sturdy: https://everyamp.com/products/accessory-mount-rivian-r1t-r1s-2022

I now have both a pair of fogs (SAE street legal) and a pair of combo beams (not legal on-road). I don't really like the look myself but I installed these for the functionality especially in snow. https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/?-compass-yellow-r1s-photos.8858/post-605084

If you run these kinds of LED lights designed for off road use (or really any lights), please be aware of brightness, where the beam is aimed, and local regulation.

Oh, by the way, anything too far inboard will start to block the front camera's view.

These lights serve a specific safety-related purpose that you would be (in an admittedly small way) undermining by fitting them to a vehicle which does not require them.

I'm not looking for any type of emergency lights. I just want a row of three or four amber LEDs
across the grill as accent lights.

Those are exactly what I am talking about. These lights are intended to warn other drivers that the vehicle which carries them is wider than normal. By putting them on vehicle which is not required to carry them you are essentially creating a false alarm that dilutes in a small way the safety effect of those lights on wide vehicles.
